St. Mary 9/15/09

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force reports the following arrests:

Anthony Dixon 19 yoa of 212 Second St., Morgan City was arrested on 9-14-2009 at 5:58 pm for Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute and Obstruction of Justice. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the Siracusa area when they observed above suspect walking in the roadway and conducted an investigative stop. Upon Agents exiting vehicle suspect was observed throwing an item onto the roadway. Agents retrieved a cigarette pack which contained several rocks of crack cocaine. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Paige Mabe 20 yoa of 2847 Fourth St., Berwick was arrested on 9-14-2009 at 9:32 pm for Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile. Agents were patrolling the Morgan City area, when they conducted a traffic stop on Front St. when suspect vehicle was observed with a burnt brake light. Agents conducted an investigation and received consent to search vehicle with agents locating drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Upon further investigation crack cocaine was located on suspect’s person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.


According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 26 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Merlin M. Venable 45 yoa of 1064 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia was arrested on 9-14-2009 at 11:13 am on a warrant for Theft. Suspect turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Trent M. Billiot 21 yoa of 615 Aragon Road, Montegut, La. was arrested on 9-15-2009 at 12:02 am for DWI 2nd, No License Plate Light, No Drivers License on Person and Open Alcoholic Container. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 182 in the Siracusaville area, when he observed suspect vehicle with no License plate light and a broken tail light and conducted a traffic stop. Upon Deputy making contact with suspect and odor of alcoholic beverage was observed upon his person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect had a test result of .162g%. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
