Officials with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's office said at 8:28 am this morning, St. Mary 911 called in a shooting from the Plantation Inn, in Bayou Vista.
When deputies arrived, they found an unresponsive male in a hotel room, and a female, who was wounded.
She was taken to a local hospital, and then transferred to a New Orleans Hospital, where she is presently being treated.
The Sheriff's Office would not release any details on the condition of the female, or any further details.
However, unconfirmed KBZE sources say both the male and female were African American.
