St. Mary Sheriff's Office

Date: November 6, 2008

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Patterson Police Department Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept., report the following arrests:

On 11-5-2008 at 6:31 pm a Juvenile Male 15 yoa was arrested for Misrepresentation of Controlled Dangerous Substance and Obstruction of Justice. Agents were patrolling Garber St. in Morgan City when they conducted an investigative stop on several subjects sitting on the side of the roadway. Upon Agents approaching suspects the above suspect was observed throwing a pill bottle to the ground. Agents recovered item and discovered several white rocks believed to be crack cocaine. After investigation juvenile was placed under arrest on above charges and released to guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Olton A. Wilson 46 yoa of 119 B Bernard St., Patterson was arrested on 11-5-2008 at 7:44 pm for Stop Sign Violation and Possession of Crack Cocaine. Agents were patrolling Lake Palourde By-pass Road in Amelia when they conducted a traffic stop. During investigation a search of suspect vehicle was conducted and suspected crack cocaine was located. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Darren D. Fisher 24 yoa of 517 Lucy St., Patterson was arrested on 11-5-2008 at 9:41 pm for License Plate Light Required, Open Alcoholic Container, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of CDS and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Speeding. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling Fifth St. in Morgan City when they conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and a search of suspect vehicle was conducted with a small amount of marijuana and a gun being located in the vehicle along with open alcoholic container. Suspect was additionally charged and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Jessie Williams 41 yoa of 517 Terrebonne St., Morgan City was arrested on 11-6-2008 at 2:43 am for Resisting an Officer by Flight and Possession of Marijuana in a School Zone. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling Federal Ave. in Morgan City when they attempted to conduct an investigative stop on suspect riding a bike. Suspect refused to stop and fled from Agents. After a short foot pursuit suspect was apprehended and Agents located a small amount of marijuana on his person. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.


According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Charles Dapremont 30 yoa of 316 Pickett St., Charenton was arrested on 11-5-2008 at 9:21 am on a warrant for Domestic Abuse Battery. Suspect was located in the Courthouse, placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with a $5000.00 bond and was later released.

Scotty A. Pellerin 28 yoa of 191 Verdunville Road, Franklin was arrested on a warrant for Simple Battery and Criminal Damage to Property. Suspect was located at Franklin High School, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1000.00 bond and was later released.

Wesley Hetherwick 29 yoa of 1700 Barrow St., Apt. # 4, Amelia was arrested on 11-5-2008 at 2:33 pm on a warrant for Criminal Neglect of Family. Suspect was located in the Bayou Vista area, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $3429.97 bond at this time.

Gerald A. Hair 43 yoa of 3085 Hwy 70, Stephensville, La. was arrested on 11-5-2008 at 9:12 pm on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Agents were patrolling the Siracusaville area, when a traffic stop was conducted. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 1-29-2009.
