St. Mary Sheriff's Office 7/21

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 43 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Crystal Pittman 28 yoa of 111 Calhoun St., Amelia was arrested on 7-20-2011 at 4:03 pm on warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Neon Lights Prohibited and Failure to Appear on the charge of Theft. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $3750.00 bond and was later released.

Edgar J. Mayon 19 yoa of 804 South Everett St., Morgan City was arrested on 7-20-2011 at 7:08 pm for Condition of Windshield, Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids and Abuse of Toxic Vapors. Deputy was patrolling the Siracusa area, when Deputy observed suspect vehicle with a large crack across the window obscuring driver’s view. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and during investigation received consent to search vehicle. Deputy located several packs of synthetic cannabinoids. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Dewan Edmond 34 yoa of 184 Dinkins Road, Charenton was arrested on 7-20-2011 at 11:26 pm for Domestic Abuse Battery. Deputy was called to above location in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from complainant that she and her husband were arguing when he became irate and grabbed her around her neck the pushed her. Deputy located suspect outside the residence and after conducting investigation he was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Roderick Dominick 36 yoa of 140 Edmond Lane, Charenton was arrested on 7-20-2011 at 11:26 pm on warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Domestic Abuse Battery, Failure to Appear on the charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a Failure to Appear on the charge of Issuing Worthless Checks. Deputy was handling a complaint at 184 Dinkins Road in Charenton, when it was learned of warrants for above subject. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $15,300.00 bond at this time.
