St. Mary Parish would like to report the following information concerning Hurricane Gustav/Ike Recovery efforts.

Electricity has been restored to 95% of St. Mary residents.

All St. Mary Parish schools will be open Monday September 15,
2008.

Disaster Relief Centers will re-open Monday September 15, 2008, at 8:00 AM. There are three locations for residents to apply for the disaster Emergency Food Stamp Program and the Corps of Engineers “Blue Roof Program”. The three locations are the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Hall and Cafeteria at 318 Third St. Morgan City; Franklin City Park Recreation Center at the corner of Gum St. and Hospital Avenue in Franklin, and the West St. Mary Civic Center at 1472 Hwy 318 in Sorrell. Those persons who are already receiving Food Stamp Assistance do not need to re-apply for the Emergency Food Stamp Program.

St. Mary Parish opened up one POD location at the Amelia Recreation Center at 1109 Lake Palourde By-Pass Road. Residents of the Amelia area can pick up food/bottled water at
that location between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Several roads have been closed because of flooding but could
Be opened by Monday as flood water are receeding. Those roads and highways are LA-318 at its intersection with LA-83,
LA-317 and Hwy 90 between the Garden City and Centerville
Exits. Those could be opened for Monday morning.

Debris Cleanup Operations are underway throughout the Parish.
