Dane Farrington, Jr, 26 of Morgan City was arrested on 10/09/08 at10:19pm, charged with Possession of Marijuana; Possession of ScheduleII CDS (Methadone); Possession of Schedule IV CDS (Xanax); Possession ofDrug Paraphernalia; Introduction of Contraband into a PenalFacility; Resisting an officer/False information; Hold for St. MaryS/O-Warrant for Possession of Marijuana.
John Williams, III, 22 of Morgan City was arrested on 10/09/08 at 10:19pm,charged with Possession of Marijuana (2nd); Possession of DrugParaphernalia.
Both Farrington and Williams were passengers in a vehicle which wasstopped for driving with one headlight. During the investigation,officers recieved consent to search the vehicle. Police K-9 indicated thepresence of narcotics inside the vehicle. Upon searching,they located suspected marijuana in the area of where Farrington andWilliams was sitting. A suspected pill of Xanax and Methadonewas also located near where Farrington was sitting. Both were arrestedand transported to MCPD for booking. During the booking processofficers also located a small baggie of suspected marijuana in the pantsof Farrington as well as a warrant for his arrest for possessionof marijuana for the St. Mary S/O. Both Farringtona and Williams werebooked and incarcerated with no bond set at this time. The driver was cited for the traffic violation and released. Captain Glenn Blanco
