St. Mary Sheriff's Office

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Norman Carter 44 yoa and Larosa Washington 49 yoa both having No Address were arrested on 10-16-2008 at 11:35 pm for Criminal Trespassing with Washington also being charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Unauthorized Use of a Movable. Deputy was conducted a Check of the Marine Shale Building in Amelia in reference to subjects sleeping in the building. While Deputy was checking the building the suspect’s were located on the property. During investigation drug paraphernalia was located on Washington’s person and it was also learned of a warrant for his arrest. Both suspect’s were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with Carter having a $1000.00 bond at Washington having a $7000.00 bond at this time.

Leroy Walker 55 yoa of 103 Eleventh St., Morgan City was arrested on 10-17-2008 at 1:50 am on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Deputy was patrolling the Siracusaville area, when he conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 1-12-2009.
