According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Brittany D. Martin 22 yoa of 159 Village Lane, Amelia was arrested yesterday morning at 10:58 am on warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Speeding and Failure to Appear on the charges of Improper Turn and Unsafe Vehicle condition.

Martin turned herself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of a warrant for her arrest. Martin was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $617.00 Cash Bond at this time.

FRANKLIN POLICE 7/28

The Franklin Police Department has made the following arrests over the past 72 hours:

TATIANA R. LARRY, 22, of Joe White Street - Charenton
was arrested on warrants charging her with Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling and Simple Battery. Ms. Larry was processed and released on a $5000.00 bond.

LAQUISHA MONIQUE DAVIS, 20, of Cayce Street - Franklin
was arrested on a warrant charging her with Possession of Marijuana. Ms. Davis was processed and is being held on a $2000.00 bond to appear in 3rd Ward City Court.

LARRY JAMES OLIVER, 42, of Sanders Street - Franklin
was arrested and charged with Simple Battery. Mr. Oliver was processed and released on a $500.00 bond to appear in 3rd Ward City Court.

LAMONT DWAYNE BENJAMIN, 35, of Willow Street - Franklin
was arrested and charged with Disturbing The Peace By Loud and Obscene Language. Mr. Benjamin was processed and released on a $296.50 cash bond.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office 7/28

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Johnel D. Smith Jr. 29 yoa of 2010 MLK Dr., Jeanerette was arrested yesterday morning on a warrant for Failure to Appear for Review Hearing. Deputy went to suspect’s residence with Jeanerette Police Department and placed suspect under arrest on warrant. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with a $244.00 cash bond and was later released.

Nicole Sanders 24 yoa of 160 Lenny’s Lane, Amelia was arrested on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court this fall.

Jill Vining 32 yoa of 303 ½ Nicklaus St., Berwick was arrested yesterday morning on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-20-2010.

Issac M. Martinez 28 yoa No Address Given was arrested yesterday shortly after noon, for Unauthorized Use of a Movable and Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling. Arrest stems from an investigation into the entry of a residence in the Bayou Vista area. Above suspect was developed as suspect and brought in for questioning. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Niles Sylvester 31 yoa of 1008 Ciro St., Siracusaville was arrested last night on a warrant for Lafourche Parish for Failure to Appear on the charge of Possession of Marijuana. Suspect was located at above location, placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with a $10,000.00 bond and was later released.

Raynell Polidore 17 yoa of 104 Edward Lane, Jeanerette was arrested last night at 7:20 pm for Off Road Vehicle on a Roadway. Deputy was patrolling the Four Corners area, when he observed a suspect riding a four wheeler on Jones Road # 2. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and after investigation placed suspect under arrest and issued him a summons to appear in court this fall.

Kendell Fletcher 30 yoa of 125 Madison St., Franklin was arrested last night on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Speeding. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 182 in the Baldwin area, when he conducted a traffic stop on above suspect vehicle for a burnt license plate light. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $308.50 cash bond and was later released.

Patrick McEniry 42 yoa of 148 Jupiter St., Bayou Vista was arrested last night on a warrant for City Court of Thibodeaux for Failure to Appear on the charges of Criminal Mischief, No Driver’s License, Leaving the Scene of an Accident and Failure to Maintain Control. Deputy was called to above location in reference a disturbance. While conducting investigation a warrants check was conducted with above suspect being placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with a $25,000.00 bond at this time.

Dex Clements 23 yoa of 2045 River Road Lot # 1, Berwick was arrested this morning for Reckless Operation, Stop Sign Violation, Improper Lane Usage, Turn Signal Required and General Speed Law. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when suspect vehicle made a right turn almost hitting Deputy’s unit. Suspect was observed speeding and driving reckless. Deputy conducted a traffic stop on North Verret Road. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest on above charges and booked into the parish jail with a $2000.00 bond at this time.

Edward A. Washington 50 yoa of 724 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia was arrested early this morning for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated and Criminal Trespass. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when above suspect was observed walking through yards on Friendship Alley. Suspect was detained and an investigation was conducted. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Michelle N. Nolon 34 yoa of 821 Tall Timbers, Patterson was arrested yesterday afternoon at 1:23 pm on warrants for Issuing Worthless Checks and a warrant for Probation Violation. Nolon turned herself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of warrants for her arrest. Nolon was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Israel Garza 23 yoa of 126 Duval St., Amelia was arrested last night at 9:31 pm for License Plate Light Required, Switched License Plate, No Insurance and Driving without Lawful Presence in the United States. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when he conducted a traffic stop on Barrow St… During investigation it was learned that Garza's vehicle had switched license plate, no insurance and suspect was driving illegally in the country. Garza was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

ST MARY PARISH DRUG TASK FORCE - 7/22

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force reports the following arrests:

Adam F. Miller 31 yoa of 2426 Main St., Patterson was arrested yesterday afternoon for Possession of Xanax and Possession of Suboxin. Agent was patrolling the Patterson area, when Miller's vehicle was observed crossing the center line on Hwy 182. Agent conducted a traffic stop and during investigation received consent to search. Agents located a container on suspect’s person, which contained xanax and suboxin. Miller was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $5000.00 bond and was later released.

Kimberly Evans 18 yoa of 1519 River Road, Berwick was arrested last night for Failure to use Turn Signal, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Xanax with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Loritab with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a warrant for Possession of Marijuana. Agents were patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when they conducted a traffic stop on above suspect. During investigation consent to search was given with Agents locating Marijuana in suspect’s purse. Agents also located xanax, loritab pills and drug paraphernalia. During investigation it was also learned of a warrant for suspect. Evans was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

St. Mary Sheriff's Office 7/20

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Courtney Thomas 27 yoa of 138 Oneida St., Charenton was arrested on 7-19-2010 at 10:49 am on a warrant for Probation Violation. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $500.00 bond and was later released.

Wesley Pierron 47 yoa of 211 Jones St. Apt. # 6, Berwick was arrested on 7-19-2010 at 2:10 pm for Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling. Arrest stems from an investigation into the burglary of a residence on Edwin Lane in Amelia that occurred on 7-17-2010. Above was developed as suspect and located at Berwick Police Department Jail. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

On 7-19-2010 at 2:29 pm a Juvenile Male 13 yoa of Patterson was arrested for Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling. Arrest stems from an investigation into a 7-4-2010 incident where juvenile entered a residence on Joey St. in Patterson and took a baseball bat from the residence. After investigation Suspect was placed under arrest, processed and released to guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Brandon Benjamin27 yoa of 1116 Jackson St., WestLake, La. was arrested on 7-19-2010 at 3:34 pm for Careless Operation, Driving Under Suspension and three Failure to Appear warrants for WestLake Police Department for Traffic violations and one warrant for Lake Charles Police Department for Failure to Appear on the charges of Driving Under Suspension, Display of License Plate and No Insurance. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Patterson area, when he observed suspect vehicle make an abrupt lane change almost causing an accident. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and during investigation learned that suspect was driving under suspension and had warrants for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a %7556.00 bond at this time.

Kristen Nicole Belanger 22 yoa of 134 Dottie’s Lane # 10, Franklin was arrested on 7-19-2010 at 5:49 pm for Driving in the Left Lane, NO Driver’s License and a warrant for Probation Violation. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Calumet area, when he observed suspect vehicle travelling in the left lane and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was learned that suspect had no driver’s license and a warrant for her arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

FRANKLIN POLICE 7/15

The Franklin Police Department has made the following arrests over the past 72 hours:

CAROLINE ANN JACKSON, 57, of Seventh Street - Franklin
was arrested on a Bench Warrant issued by 3rd Ward City Court, charging her with Failure To Appear. Ms. Jackson was processed and held on a $321.50 cash fine.

ROBERT DAVID NAQUIN, 38, of Linda Lane - Franklin
was arrested on a warrant issued by 16th Judicial District Court, charging him with Failure To Appear on the charges of Driving While Intoxicated - 2nd offense, Careless Operation and Expired Drivers License. Mr. Naquin was processed and released to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office.

NATHAN BATISTE III, 22, of Cayce Street - Franklin
was arrested on a warrant dated June 27, 2010, charging him with Simple Robbery. Mr. Batiste was also processed on a warrant issued by Probation & Parole, charging him with Parole Violation.

St. Mary Drug Task Force 7/16

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force reports the following arrests:

Connie Bourque 43 yoa of St. Martinville, La. was arrested yesterday afternoon for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile.

Agent was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Patterson area, when he conducted a traffic stop. Upon making contact with driver an odor of marijuana was observed emitting from the vehicle. During investigation Agent retrieved to burnt marijuana cigarettes from suspect’s person. After investigation Bourque was placed under arrest on above charges and booked into the parish jail with a $3000.00 bond and was later released.

Wallace Williams 40 yoa of 159 Polaris St., Bayou Vista was arrested last night for Stop Sign Violation, Possession of Loritab and Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile. Agents were patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when they conducted a traffic stop on Saturn Road when Williams failed to stop at stop sign. During investigation Williams was found to be in possession of two Loritab pills. Williams had a Ten year old juvenile in the vehicle. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

St. Mary Sheriff's Office 7/16

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 48 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Christopher Jeblonski 29 yoa of 413 A. St. Charles By-pass, Thibodaux, was arrested yesterday morning on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Amelia area, when he came upon Jeblonski's vehicle in the median and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for Jeblonski's arrest. Jeblonski was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court this fall.

Shawn D. Gant 38 yoa of 1812 L. St., Patterson was arrested last night on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of Simple Battery and Disturbing the Peace. Deputy was called to 129 Pluto St. in reference a disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival contact was made with Gant and a warrant check was conducted, with her being placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with No bond at this time.

Jonathan K. Perry 26 yoa of 1802 North St., Patterson was arrested last night for Failure to Signal, Possession of a Stolen Firearm and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Speeding.

Deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when he conducted a traffic stop for Perry failing to use signal. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for Perry's arrest. Perry was placed under arrest and during an inventory search of suspect’s vehicle a hand gun was located under the driver’s seat. A check of gun was conducted and came back stolen. Perry was additionally charged. Perry was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

ST MARY ELECTIONS

The local election spotlight in St. Mary Parish will be its brightest in the City of Patterson, where first term City Councilman Rodney Grogan is challenging first term Mayor, Mike Accardo.

Additionally, three newcomers, Deniesee Robertson, Sandra Turner and John Rentrop, are challenging the remaining for incumbent city councilmen, for five at large council seats. The incumbents are: Peg Rentrop, Larry Mendoza, Joe Russo III, and Claire Sawyer.

In Berwick, Mayor Louis Ratcliff was re-elected without opposition for another four year term.
However, Randal Monceaux is challenging all five current Berwick Aldermen for the town’s five at large seats: Duval Arthur, Penny Crappell, Troy M Lombardo, Damon Robison, and Edgar Thomas Jr.

Elsewhere, some Franklin and Morgan City voters will be going to the polls to elect new school board representatives.

In Franklin, newcomer Anthony Delasbour is challenging incumbent Murphy J Pontiff Jr, for the District 4 seat.

In Morgan City, KBZE & KFRA General Manager & President Howard Castay is challenging incumbent Anthony Streva, for the District 10 seat.

All other members of the St. Mary Parish School Board were re-elected without opposition: Joe Foulcard, Franklin, District 1, Mary Lockley, Franklin, District 2, Edward Payton, District 3, Baldwin, Ginger Griffin, Bayou Vista/Patterson, District 5, Marilyn LaSalle, Patterson, District 6, Wayne Deslatte, Centerville, District 7, Mike Taylor, Berwick, District 8, Bill McCarty, Morgan City, District 9, Roland Verret, District 11.

BUTCH GAUTREAUX RUNS FOR LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR

Tri-parish area Senator Butch Gautreaux is one of four Democrats who will face off against each other and against five Republicans, to become the 49th Lieutenant Governor of Louisiana.

Gautreaux qualified Friday.

“I entered the race because I didn't see anyone qualifying who really understands the threat our way of life is under,” Gautreaux said. “The people in my Senatorial district and throughout coastal Louisiana stand to lose the most through the Horizon crisis. While all of Louisiana will suffer the losses in revenues generated by the energy and fishery industries, it is my people who are experiencing personal loss of financial security.”

Gautreaux has served in the state legislature for roughly 11 years. His service began in the mid-90’s, serving in the House of Representatives for one term. He was then elected to the Senate, on the verge of closing out a third term.

“I have a unique perspective of the importance of jobs and a growing economy. Every day that the Horizon well spills oil into the Gulf and every day that drilling is shut down, Louisiana's losses are in the millions,” he said.

Outside Baton Rouge, Gautreaux works as an administrator at Arabie Tucking of Thibodaux. Prior to that, he spent 30 years in the retail appliance business, the former Today’s TV, Furniture and Appliances in Morgan City.

“In a year of tight budgets through a national recession, we are now facing an even greater challenge in state government, to providing basic services. Health care and higher education can't continue to make cuts without a blow to economic recovery,” he said.

“Losses to our culture of the best fishing and hunting are under siege. I will be working toward the recovery of commercial and recreational fishing, and the protection of hunting and fishing grounds,” he said.

“Producing almost a third of the seafood consumed in the United States, our marshes will need immediate and constant attention. The estuaries that produce our annual stocks of fin fish and shrimp are at risk. I will be a constant fixture pushing for resources to not only bring us back to where we were before the Horizon incident, but it will have to be better. Along with a better environment will come better production from the Gulf of Mexico. It is smart management that will bring us back from the brink,” he said.

“I have a lot of ideas on improving outcomes through the office of Lt. Governor. My goals include but are not limited to improving quality of life for all citizens, quality jobs through the recruitment of businesses and assisting existing employers in technologies to improve quality outcomes and employee satisfaction.”

“I will be revealing my full platform in the coming weeks but it will all be based on quality of life issues. I have an appreciation for the job done by previous administrations and will be building out from some of the better programs. Those existing programs that don't produce a good return on investment will likely die in my administration. My expertise is getting the best bang for the buck within significant fiscal restraints. I haven't met a tight budget that I couldn't work with,” Gautreaux said.

The election for lieutenant governor is October 2nd.

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 48 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Martin Ramirez 25 yoa of 1827 Barrow St. Lot # 2, Amelia was arrested yesterday morning on a warrant for Criminal Mischief. Ramirez was located at his residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $500.00 bond at this time.

Weighlyn Madison 46 yoa of 761 Utah St., Berwick was arrested shortly before noon yesterday, on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Issuing Worthless Checks. Maidson turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of a warrant for his arrest. Madison was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1500.00 bond and was later released.

Angel Laine 41 yoa of 218 Amelia St., Morgan City was arrested shortly before one this morning, for Domestic Abuse Battery, Simple Criminal Damage to Property and Resisting an Officer.

Deputy was called to 127 Francis St. in Patterson in reference a disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival complainant advised that he and suspect were arguing when she committed a battery upon him and destroyed property in the residence. Laine was placed under arrest and when asked her personal information she refused to answer Deputy. Laine was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

QUALIFYING ENDS TODAY

Qualifying for elected office ends today, in various
parishes within the KBZE/KFRA listening area.

In St. Mary, persons wishing to run for elected
office have until 5pm to register for School Board, or
Clerk of Court.

In Patterson, elected seats are up for Mayor,
Police Chief and the Parish Council.

And in Berwick and Baldwin, seats are up for Mayor, Police Chief,
and the Town Council.

In Thibodaux, persons seeking to run for Mayor and the City
Council have until 5pm. In Lafourche Parish, persons seeking
a seat on the School Board, also have until 5pm.

In Terrebonne Parish, persons seeking a seat on the School
Board have until 5pm.

ST MARY DRUG TASK FORCE 7/9

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force reports the following arrests:

Gavin D. Bray 26 yoa of 305 Railroad Ave., Baldwin and Donald Richard 27 yoa of 207 Newman St., Baldwin were arrested yesterday afternoon, with Bray being charged with Possession of Xanax and Richard being charged with Open Alcoholic Container, Resisting an Officer and Possession of Marijuana 3rd Offense.

Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling Collins St. in Baldwin when they observed a group of males walking down the street with Richard carrying an open alcoholic container. Upon Agents making investigative stop Richard fled on foot with Agents giving a short foot pursuit apprehending suspect. Upon Agent searching Richard he was found to have a bag of marijuana on his person. While Agents were conducting investigation with other subjects a search of Bray’s person was conducted with three xanax pills being located on his person. After investigation suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with Bray having no bond at this time and Richard having a $10,000.00 bond and was later released.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office - 7/9/11

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Louis G. Green 18 yoa of 130 Sager Brown Road, Baldwin was arrested on last night at 11:23 pm for No Drivers License, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Failure to Use Seatbelt.

Deputy was called to the area of Irishbend Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon Deputy’s arrival to the area, Green's vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted. Upon Deputy making contact with Green, it was learned that he had no driver’s license and that he had a warrant for his arrest. During investigation consent to search vehicle was obtained with Deputy located several small bags of marijuana in the driver’s door and a bottle of wine under the driver’s seat. After investigation suspect was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Timothy Duval 31 yoa of 305 Taft St., Patterson was arrested on 7-9-2010 shortly before 5 this morning on two warrants for Probation Violation. Deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when he came into contact with above suspect and conducted a warrant’s checks. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

ST MARY PARISH DRUG TASK FORCE - 7/8

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force report the following arrests:

Sandra Norris 42 yoa of 1013 A. St. Lot # 5, Franklin and Gwendolyn Bourque 46 yoa of 1105 Wilfred St., Franklin were arrested last night at 6:25 pm for Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription and Open Alcoholic Container with Norris also being charged with Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicle, Improper Lane Usage, Resisting an Officer by Force and Disturbing the Peace Obscene Language.

Deputy was on a traffic stop on Hwy. 90 in the Bayou Vista area, when Norris vehicle failed to yield to an emergency vehicle and crossed the fog line and almost hit Agent. Agent pursued suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the Bayou Vista Truck Plaza. During investigation Agents located open alcoholic containers along with Legend Drugs in the vehicle and in passenger’s purse. While conducting investigation Norris began yelling and cursing causing a disturbance and had to be physically subdued. Both Norris and Bourque were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bonds at this time.

ST MARY PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE - 7/8

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Juan P. Delangel 28 yoa of 1744 Jenkins Road, Pasadena, Texas was arrested yesterday mid-morning at 11:45 am for Possession of a False Identification Card. Deputy was called to PHI in Amelia in reference to suspect attempting to board a Helicopter with a false T.W.I. C. card. Upon deputy’s arrival it was learned from security guard that above suspect tried to board a helicopter with the fake card. After investigation Delangel was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1000.00 bond at this time.

Alister Clay Burgess 25 yoa of 2246 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton was arrested yesterday at noon a warrant for Simple Battery. Suspect was located in the Charenton area, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $500.00 bond and was later released.

PATTERSON COUNCIL MEETING

The Patterson City Council voted unanimously last night to set new
salaries for their Chief of Police, which will become effective in January.

The salary for a 1st term chief would be $38,400 a year. If he or she
wins a second term, their pay would jump to $40,800.
A third term would see a rise to $43,200 a year.
A fourth $48,000 a year. A fifth, $66,000 a year, and a seventh
term, $84,000 a year.

Keep in mind that this is a base salary and does not include
any benefits including car allowance, health insurance, retirement
and vacation, as well as any other perks for the job.

Current long-time Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle will join
other Patterson officials in qualifying for office this week. Patterson
voters will go to the polls this fall to elect not only a new police
chief, but a new mayor, and a new council.

LaSalle, who is serving in his fourth term, will be seeking a fifth term in
office.

If he is unopposed by the end of qualifying this Friday, his
salary will jump to $66,000 a year, in January of 2011.

St Mary Drug Task Force - 7/7

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force reports the following arrests:

Courtland Watts 19 yoa of 1009 Birch St., Morgan City was arrested last night for Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute and Obstruction of Justice. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling Federal Ave. in Morgan City when they observed Watts walking and upon suspect observing Agents Watts threw a plastic bag to the ground. Agents retrieved the bag that contained several rocks of crack cocaine. After investigation, Watts was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Al Guillory 19 yoa of 5354 N. Bayou Black Dr., Gibson was arrested last night for Possession of Marijuana. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the Berwick area, when they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to use signal. During investigation, Guillory, a passenger in the vehicle, was found to be in possession of marijuana. After an investigation, Guillory was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court in October.

ST MARY PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE - 7/7

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Tara N. Toups 28 yoa of 203 Newman St., Baldwin was arrested yesterday afternoon, on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Disturbing the Peace. Toups turned herself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of a warrant for her arrest. She was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1500.00 bond and was later released.

Lantrell J. Ayers 19 yoa of 129 Natalie Lane, Patterson was arrested yesterday evening, on warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Failure to Use Seatbelt and a warrant for Probation Violation. A Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Patterson area, when conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for crossing the fog lines. During the investigation Ayers, a passenger in the vehicle, was learned to have warrants for his arrest. Ayers was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Dwayne C. Francis 21 yoa of 327 Egle St., Morgan City was arrested last night on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Obedience to an Officer and Traffic Signs. Francis was located at his residence, placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with a $293.50 cash bond at this time.
