According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Reneldo D. Moore 59 yoa of 111 Verdun Lane, Verdunville was arrested on 9-22-2011 at 9:36 am for Theft. Deputy was conducting an investigation into the theft of scrap metal from a business on Prairie Road in Verdunville. During investigation a suspect was developed. Deputy located suspect at his residence and conducted investigation, after investigation he was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1000.00 bond at this time.

Henry J. Pierce 33 yoa of 1015 Third St. Lot # 15, Morgan City was arrested on 9-22-2011 at 12:10 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear for Drug Court. Suspect was located on Maple St. in Morgan City and placed under arrest on warrant for his arrest. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with a $100,000.00 bond at this time.

Eric D. Charles 20 yoa of 610 Egle St., Morgan City was arrested on 9-22-2011 at 1:56 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear for Drug Court. Deputy located suspect on Egle St., placed him under arrest on warrant and booked him into the parish jail with a $100,000.00 bond at this time.

Laurie Wagespack 33 yoa of # 8 Darce Dr., Franklin was arrested on 9-22-2011 at 1:33 pm on a warrant for Simple Battery. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $500.00 bond and was later released.

Quincy Johnson 27 yoa, James D. Husband Jr. 19 yoa both of 2618 Fifth St., Berwick and Nunsie Jett 44 yoa of 2055 Allison St. # 13, Morgan City were arrested on 9-22-2011 at 3:41 pm for Theft. Deputy was called to Hwy 90 in Bayou Vista in reference to State Police stopping a vehicle for taking a piece of pipe belonging to the Railroad. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned that suspects were observed by State Police Officer picking up a piece of pipe belonging to the Railroad and load it into a trailer. State Police stopped suspects and detained for Sheriff’s Office. Deputy conducted an investigation with above suspects and after investigation they were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $500.00 bond and were later released.

Sherkera Sylvester 31 yoa of 1225 Railroad Ave., Morgan City and Talishia Sylvester 26 yoa of 1414 James St., Morgan City were arrested on 9-22-2011 at 6:02 pm on a warrant for Simple Battery. Suspects were located at 1414 James St., placed under arrest on warrants and booked into the parish jail with a $500.00 bond at this time.

Buddy Burns 52 yoa of 8447 Hwy 182, Morgan City was arrested on 9-22-2011 at 8:24 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located on First St. in Morgan City, placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with a $4500.00 bond and was later released.

Ray Chaisson Jr. 20 yoa of 4281 Francis St., Berwick was arrested on 9-23-2011 at 3:01 am for Reckless Operation of a Vehicle, Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Abuse of Toxic Vapors. Deputy was advised of a reckless driver on Hwy 90 in the Berwick area, Deputy located suspect vehicle driving on Canton St. in the Berwick area and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation consent to search vehicle was obtained with Deputy locating a bag containing synthetic cannabinoids and drug paraphernalia. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Free Prostate Exams 9/24

Prostate Cancer is the second leading killer in the African American Male community, next to heart disease.

"Black males are dying due to not getting tested for this silent killer," said Clarence Robinson Jr., president of the 100 Black Men of St. Mary.

"The 100 Black Men want to bring awareness to this disease during the month of September," which Robinson said, has been designated as “Prostate Awareness Month”.

"The 100 Black Men of St. Mary Parish along with Teche Action Clinic will be offering FREE Prostate Screenings for Men ages 40 and over. Are you man enough to get tested?"

The test will be offered Saturday, September 24, from 10am to 2pm, at Skinner's Barber Shop, 1001 Railroad Ave in Morgan City.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office 9/22

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 30 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Joshua J. De Monbrun 28 yoa of 516 Mike Dr., Patterson was arrested on 9-21-2011 at 9:42 am on a warrant for Simple Battery. Deputy located suspect at 3416 Lake Palourde Road in Amelia, placed him under arrest on warrant and booked him into the parish jail with a $500.00 bond and was later released.

Robert J. Martin 26 yoa of 116 Lovers Lane, Abbeville, La. was arrested on 9-21-2011 at 2:30 pm on a Military warrant for Desertion U.S. Army. Deputy was called to U.S. Customs office in Morgan City in reference to suspect being detained on above warrant. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Joshua L. Boudreaux 26 yoa of 403 Cypress St., Franklin was arrested on 9-21-2011 at 2:49 pm for Driving on Roadway Laned for Traffic, and two counts of Illegal Possession of Stolen Things. Detective was patrolling the Irish Bend Road area, when he observed suspect vehicle cross the center line. Detective attempted to conduct a traffic stop with suspect vehicle, but he refused to stop with Detective giving chase. Suspect vehicle finally came to a stop in a cane field with suspect exiting vehicle and fleeing on foot. Suspect was later apprehended in the area. During investigation Deputy located an item in the vehicle that was reported stolen from a burglary. During investigation another item that was reported stolen was located at suspect’s residence. Suspect was placed under arrest on above charges and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Tracy Schrader 37 yoa of 621 School St., Houma, La. was arrested on 9-21-2011 at 4:28 pm for DWI 1st, Careless Operation and Open Alcoholic Container. Deputy was called to Hwy 90 in the Centerville area in reference to suspect driving weaving from lane to lane. Upon Deputy’s arrival suspect was stopped on the side of roadway by another Deputy. Upon Deputy making contact with suspect he observed an odor of alcoholic beverage upon her person. Deputy also received consent to search and located an open alcoholic container in the vehicle. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Franklin Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect refused to submit sample and was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Anthony Pennison Jr. 40 yoa of 300 Southeast Blvd. Apt. # 3, Bayou Vista was arrested on 9-21-2011 at 7:47 pm for Theft and Forgery. Deputy was called by complainant advising that above suspect had taken some checks and forged them at Check Cashiers. Suspect was located at his residence and an investigation was conducted. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Theresa Sylvester 48 yoa of 1414 James St., Morgan City was arrested on 9-21-2011 at 11:14 pm for Simple Battery. Deputy was called to Ciro St. in Siracusa in reference a disturbance in the Street. Upon Deputy’s arrival several subjects left the area. Complainant contacted Deputy and advised that she was approached by suspect with suspect committing a battery upon her. Deputy went to suspect’s residence and conducted an investigation. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $500.00 bond at this time.

Kiara D. Vilo 22 yoa of 1366 Joseph St. Morgan City was arrested on 9-22-2011 at 12:18 am on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of Failure to Signal Lane Change and No Drivers License. Suspect was at the Morgan City Sheriff’s Office in reference to an investigation, when it was learned of a warrant for her arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $308.50 cash bond at this time.

David Tabb Jr. 23 yoa of 104 Tabb Lane, Baldwin was arrested on 9-22-2011 at 1:44 am for Possession of Triazolan and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when he was advised of a reckless driver on Uranus St. Deputy was searching the area when he located suspect vehicle pulling into a trailer park off Hwy 182. Deputy made contact with suspect and advised him of the complaint. During investigation consent to search was obtained with Deputy locating drug paraphernalia and a pill bottle containing several pills. After investigation Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

St Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Task Force 9/16

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept.., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept.. report the following arrests:

Ashley Lanclos 19 yoa of 2809 First St., Berwick and Deven Vining 18 yoa of 300 Southeast Blvd. # 12, Bayou Vista were arrested on 9-15-2011 at 2:48 pm for Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids, Abuse of Toxic Vapors, Obstruction of Justice and with Vining also being charged with Failure to Signal and Expired Inspection Sticker. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling Greenwood St in the Morgan City area, when they observed suspect vehicle with an expired inspection sticker, suspect’s vehicle then made abrupt turn into the parking lot failing to signal. Agents conducted a traffic stop and upon coming into contact with suspects located suspected synthetic cannabinoids on the Vining’s shirt. Agent also located two packs of synthetic cannabinoids on the side of vehicle. After investigation suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bonds at this time.

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests:

David Campos 53 yoa of 710 Jefferson Blvd., Lafayette, La. was arrested on 9-15-2011 at 4:25 pm for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated. Deputy was called to 10183 Hwy 182 in Amelia in reference to a disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival at McDonalds, store manager advised that above suspect was intoxicated and attempting to start a fight with other patrons. Deputy located suspect and after investigation he was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond at this time.

Iraneka Amos 20 yoa of 3025 Hwy 1, Labadieville, La. was arrested on 9-15-2011 at 8:43 pm for Theft by Shoplifting. Deputy was called to Wal-mart in Bayou Vista in reference to a shoplifter. Upon Deputy’s arrival store security advised that above suspect was observed placing clothing items in her purse and attempted to leave the store when she was detained by security. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 12-19-2011.

Darryl W. Bennett 54 yoa of 210 Wall St., Franklin was arrested on 12-16-2011 at 1:37 am for DWI 2nd and Improper Lane Usage. Deputy was patrolling the Franklin area, when he observed suspect vehicle speeding and cross the center line of the roadway. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and upon making contact with suspect observed an odor of alcoholic beverage upon his person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Franklin Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect refused to give proper sample and was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept., report the following arrests:

Anthony J. Pennison Jr. 40 yoa of 300 Southeast Blvd., Bayou Vista was arrested on 9-14-2011 at 6:18 pm for two counts of Possession of Schedule III Narcotics. Agents were patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when they observed suspect vehicle swerve into the right lane then turn left without using a signal. Agents conducted a traffic stop and made contact with driver and passenger. During investigation suspect a passenger in the vehicle gave Agents consent to search his person and Agent located several Schedule III pills. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Michael Hebert 40 yoa of 506 Morris St., Franklin was arrested on 9-14-2011 at 10:00 am on a warrant for Failure to Comply with Terms and Conditions of Probation. Suspect was located at his residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2000.00 bond at this time.

Derrick Colbert 18 yoa of 77 ½ MLK Road, Charenton was arrested on 9-14-2011 at 9-14-2011 at 2:24 pm on a warrant for Illegal Use of a Weapon. Suspect was located at his residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $50,000.00 bond at this time.

William Roberson 49 yoa of 805 North Everett St., Morgan City was arrested on 9-14-2011 7:24 pm on warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and three, Failure to Appear for Criminal Neglect of Family. Deputy was investigating a traffic stop on Hwy 182 in Patterson, when it was learned of warrants for above suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with an $8664.33 bond and was later released.

Micah Raley 23 yoa of 440 MC 6024 Yellville, Arkansas was arrested on 9-14-2011 at 11:25 pm for three counts of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm with Obliterated Serial Numbers. Deputy was called to 9699 Hwy 182 in reference to subject pointing a gun. Upon Deputy’s arrival into the parking lot suspect vehicle was attempting to leave when subject outside yelled that is the subject that pulled the gun. Deputy conducted a stop of suspect vehicle in the parking lot of Cherrie’s II in Amelia. Deputy then removed suspects from vehicle and conducted an investigation. During investigation it was learned that suspect had an argument with subjects from the lounge and that he pulled weapon and pointed it at subjects standing outside. Deputy retrieved weapon from vehicle and was unable to locate any serial numbers or markings because gun had been painted over. After investigation above suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Gavin Bray age 27 of 305 Railroad Ave. Baldwin, LA was arrested on 9/12/11 @ 336pm at 404 Bollard St. Baldwin, LA on charges of Possession of Marijuana – 1st Offense
Michael Bowie age 50 of 212 Lockley St. Baldwin, LA was arrested on 9/12/11 @ 336 pm at 404 Bollard St. Baldwin, LA
And charged with Possession of Marijuana – 1st Offense

On Monday, September 12, 2011, at approximately 3:20 PM, day, Agents of the St. Mary Parish Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the Baldwin area. Agents observed a subject standing in the middle of the roadway and stopped to make contact with him. He was identified as Michael Bowie. Bowie was found to be in possession of a bag of marijuana. While speaking with him, Agents observed a black male subject sitting next to where Bowie was located. This subject was identified as Gavin Bray. Agents observed a bag of marijuana in Bray's hands. Both were placed under arrest and released on a summons.

Barry Phillips age 59 of 5437 Hwy 87 Charenton, LA was arrested on 9/12/11 @ 219 pm on Chitimacha Trail Charenton, LA on charges of Possession of Marijuana – 1st Offense and Possession of Crack Cocaine.
On Monday, September 12, 2011, at approximately 1:15 PM, day, Agents of the St. Mary Parish Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the Charenton area. Agents observed a subject riding his bike in the middle of the roadway. The subject was identified as Barry Phillips. Phillips was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and marijuana. He was transported to the parish jail for processing and incarceration.

Joseph Lumpkin age 48 of 121 MLK Blvd. Charenton, La. was arrested on 9-12-2011 @ 247pm on Chitimacha Trail Charenton, La. on charges of Poss. of Marijuana, and Drug Paraphernalia.
On Monday, September 12, 2011, at approx. 2:45 PM Agents of the Narcotics Task Force made contact with a male subject as he was riding his bicycle down Chitimacha Trail. The subject was identified as Joseph Lumpkin. While speaking with Lumpkin, consent to search his person was given and agents located a crack pipe as well as a marijuana joint on Lumpkin's person. Lumpkin was placed under arrest for the said items and released on a summons.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office 9/13

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24hr period the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Sabrina Rineholt age 32 of 396 Alice B road Franklin, La was arrested on 9-12-11 at 1056am on warrants for Issuing worthless checks 3 counts. She was released on summons to appear in court.

Robert Taylor age 40 of 137 Roy’s Lane Centerville, La was arrested on 9-12-11 at 107 pm on a warrant for Failure to appear in court for Theft of a Motor Vehicle. He was transported to the parish jail for processing and incarceration.

Amy Grow age 29 of 241 Laura Drive Patterson, La was arrested on 9-12-11 at 258pm on charges Theft of goods from Wal mart Bayou Vista, La she was released on summons.

Christina Pitre age 32 of 2707 Shaw #9 Morgan City, La was arrested on 9-12-11 at 258pm on charges Theft of goods from Wal mart Bayou Vista, La she was released on summons.

Joel Gonzalez age 34 of 230 N. Van Ave. Houma, la was arrested on 9-12-11 at 1036pm at Judy’s Lounge in Amelia, La on charges of Theft and Criminal damage to property. Deputies responded to a theft of money at the bar and conducted an investigation where Joel was found to have taken money from a purse in the bar. He was transported to the parish jail for processing and incarceration.

Gerardo Gutierrez age 27 of Andrew street Morgan City, La was arrested on 9-12-11 at 1039 pm at Sandi’s Bar on charge of theft. Deputies responded to a theft of money at another bar and conducted an investigation where Gerardo was found to have taken money from a purse in the bar. He was transported to the parish jail for processing and incarceration.

IEO Chapter of AKA is hosting a “Meet the Candidates” forum for candidates for St. Mary Parish Sheriff. The activity will be held at the Broussard-Harris Recreation Center on Monday, September 12 at 7:00.P.M.

The candidates will introduce their platforms, discuss their concerns about the current operations of the department, and respond to questions from the audience.

Robert W. Bowles 54 yoa of 527 Egle Sr. # 6, Morgan City was arrested on 9-9-2011 at 1:41 pm for Turn Signal Required, Obstruction of Justice and Possession of Crack Cocaine. Agents were patrolling the Morgan City area, when they observed suspect vehicle turn abruptly into apartment parking lot on Egle St. Agents conducted a traffic stop at which time suspect threw an item, which was retrieved by Agents that was found to be crack cocaine. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 72 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 107 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Corey Stevens 25 yoa of 437 Wilson St., Berwick was arrested on 9-9-2011 at 10:03 am on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of Possession of Somas, Possession of Oxycodone, Possession of Zanbar and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Suspect was located at his residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Elenabeth Fernandez 33 yoa of 301 Grizaffi St., # 34, Morgan City was arrested on 9-9-2011 at 10:23 am for Operating a Vehicle without Lawful Presence in the United States. Deputy was called to 119 Francis St. in Amelia in reference to an accident with suspect running into the Post Office. Upon Deputy’s arrival contact was made with suspect and after investigation she was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Jessica Johnson 35 yoa of 853 Irish Bend Road, Franklin and Tasha Louis were arrested on 9-9-2011 at 12:00 pm for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting with Johnson also being charged with Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Battery and Louis also being charged with Simple Battery. Deputy was called to 334 Prairie Road in reference to a fight and a weapon was pulled. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned that the two suspects got into an altercation with suspects fighting. During the incident Johnson picked up a brick and hit the other subject. Johnson also advised that suspect had left the scene and returned with other subjects, when she retrieved her gun and pointed it at Louis. After investigation both suspects were placed under arrest on above charges and booked into the parish jail with Johnson having an $11,250.00 bond and Louis having a $750.00 bond, both were later released.

Regina Hebert 31 yoa of 101 3 B’s Lane, Bayou Vista was arrested on 9-9-2011 at 3:20 pm for Driving Under Suspension. Agent was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when suspect vehicle failed to use turn signal and a traffic stop was conducted. During investigation it was learned that above suspect was driving under suspension. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

Randall Rodrigue 46 yoa of5170 Crown Point Dr., Marrero, La. was arrested on 9-9-2011 at 8:30 pm for Improper Lane Usage and Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was advised of a reckless driver on Hwy 90 area of Bayou Vista. Deputy located suspect vehicle and observed him cross the center and fog lines. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and during investigation also learned that suspect was driving under suspension. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 12-19-2011.

Paul McDaniel 35 yoa of 2109 Chatsworth Road, Franklin and Duana Billiot 31 yoa of 1626 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton were arrested on 9-10-2011 at 2:17 am with McDaniel being arrested for DWI 1st, Improper Lane Usage and Open Alcoholic Container and Billiot being arrest for Open Alcoholic Container. Deputy was called to Hwy 90 in the Calumet area in reference to a vehicle weaving all over the roadway. Deputy located suspect vehicle and observed him cross the center and fog lines on several occasions. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking with suspect observed an odor of alcoholic beverage upon his person. Also during the investigation both suspects were found to be in possession of an open alcoholic container. After investigation both suspects were placed under arrest with Billiot being issued a summons to appear in court on 12-19-2011 and McDaniel being placed under arrest and transported to Franklin Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect had a test result of .101g%. McDaniel was booked into the parish jail with a $3500.00 bond and was later released.

Alex E. Vargas 36 yoa of 2742 South Camden Parkway, Houston Texas was arrested on 9-10-2011 at 8:30 am for Reckless Operation of a Vehicle with an Accident, Hit and Run Driving, Expired Driver’s License and Disturbing the Peace intoxicated. Deputy was called to 2105 Lake Palourde Road in reference to a vehicle running into the Quick General Store in Amelia. Upon Deputy’s arrival witnesses advised that suspect was driving reckless and ran into the building and then left the scene. While Deputy was conducting investigation suspect was seen walking down Lake Palourde Road. Deputy located suspect and transported him back to scene were he was identified by witnesses as the suspect driving the vehicle. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2500.00 bond and was later released.

Kathleen Friddle 73 yoa of 1167 Hwy 83, Baldwin was arrested on 9-10-2011 at 11:08 am for Misuse of 911 Communications. Deputy was called to above location in reference to suspect calling 911 wanting someone to go to store for her. Susan Bourque 41 yoa of 202 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia was arrested on 9-10-2011 at 7:54 pm Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated. Deputy was called to above location in reference a disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned that above suspect and her daughter were arguing over suspect drinking too much. Witnesses advised that suspect was yelling and causing a disturbance. After investigation above suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond at this time.

Russell D. Allen 42 yoa of 541 Todd St., Berwick was arrested on 9-11-2011 at 11:39 pm on a warrant for Theft. Deputy was patrolling the Berwick area, when he conducted an investigative stop on suspect on Front St. in Berwick. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1000.00 bond at this time.

Katrina M. Walker 27 yoa of 617 Sebby Lane, Bayou Vista was arrested on 9-8-2011 at 2:36 pm for Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute and Stop Sign Violation. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when suspect vehicle was observed failing to stop at stop sign and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation consent to search was obtained with Agents located a plastic bag containing several rocks of crack cocaine. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Clyde W. Turner 55 yoa of 2915 Fourth St., Berwick was arrested on 9-9-2011 at 12:26 am for Violation of a Protective Order. Deputy was investigating a criminal damage to property incident and went to 2915 Fourth St. in Berwick to speak with victim. During investigation a warrants check was conducted on subjects in the residence and was learned that victim had a protective order against above suspect who was at the residence. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Veronica Turner 55 yoa of 201 Hwy 182, Bayou Vista was arrested on 9-9-2011 at 1:33 am for Simple Criminal Damage to Property. Deputy was called to Cash Magic Casino Parking lot in reference to a criminal damage to property. Upon Deputy’s arrival witness advised that he observed suspect, park on the side of vehicle and began breaking the lights of the vehicle with a hammer. Deputy made contact with victim of vehicle and learned that she suspects above to have done the damage to her vehicle. Deputy located suspect at her residence and conducted an investigation. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1000.00 bond at this time.

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept., report the following arrests:

Carolyn T. Hamm 51 yoa of 116 South Railroad Ave., Morgan City and Scarlett Burkart 30 yoa of 520 Blake Field Dr., Schriever, La. were arrested on 9-7-2011 at 3:15 pm with Hamm being arrested on warrants for Obstruction of Justice, three counts of Possession of a Legend Drug, Distribution of Roxicodone, Possession of Suboxone and was additionally charged with Possession of Xanax and Burkart being charged with Possession of Vyvanse. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force went to 116 South Railroad Ave. in Morgan City to execute warrants. Upon Agents arrival contact was made with Hamm and she was placed under arrest on warrants. During investigation Burkart was located in the residence and was found to be in possession of Vyvanse. Both suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bonds at this time.



Ryan Torres 17 yoa of 1408 Pecan St., Morgan City and a Juvenile Male 16 yoa of Bayou Vista were arrested on 9-7-2011 at 4:50 pm with Torres being charged with Turn Signal Required, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile and Juvenile was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when they observed suspect vehicle fail to use turn signal and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation Agents located marijuana in Torres’s vehicle and also located marijuana and drug paraphernalia on passenger. After investigation both suspects were placed under arrest with Torres being booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time and Juvenile being processed and released to guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Shirley Borer 59 yoa of 706 General Hodges, Morgan City was arrested on 9-7-2011 at 2:19 pm for Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when suspect vehicle was observed speeding and a traffic stop was conducted. During investigation it was learned that suspect was driving under suspension. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 12-19-2011.

Tina M. Berrios 36 yoa of 119 Boley Lane, Charenton was arrested on 9-7-2011 at 2:33 pm on a warrant for Unauthorized Use of an Access Card. Deputy was patrolling the Franklin area, when he located above suspect on Irish Bend Road and conducted a traffic stop. Suspect was placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Christopher L. Cook 36 yoa of 226 Glenwood Dr., Houma, La. was arrested on 9-7-2011 at 5:18 pm on warrants for Second Degree Battery Domestic Violence and False Imprisonment. Suspect was located in the Amelia area, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $100,000.00 bond at this time.

Oscar Leon 28 yoa and Stephanie Albritton 26 yoa both of 212 Fandel St., Gibson, La. were arrested on 9-8-2011 at 12:31 am for Domestic Abuse Battery. Deputy was called to Chere’s II in Amelia in reference a fight. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from bar owner that Albritton came into the bar and started arguing with Leon , she then began slapping him when he pushed her down and several other patrons began pulling them apart and a fight ensued with Leon and other patrons who left the scene. After investigation both suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bonds at this time.

Allen Ray Simmons 52 yoa of 215 Myra St., Franklin was arrested on 8-23-2011 at 12:42 pm for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were Patrolling MLK Blvd. in Franklin when they observed above suspect walking in the middle of roadway and conducted an investigative stop. During investigation consent to search suspect’s person was obtained with Agent located drug paraphernalia. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

Lirette 20 yoa of 103 Retta Place, Gray, La. was arrested on 8-23-2011 at 8:10 am on a warrant for City Court of Morgan City for Failure to Appear on the charge of Underage Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage. Suspect was located in the Berwick area, placed under arrest on warrant and tuned over to Morgan City Police Department.

Estelle Morgan 68 yoa of 103 Dianna Dr., Kaplan, La. was arrested on 8-23-2011 at 11:28 am on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect turned herself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of a warrant for her arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

Gary Peters 32 yoa of 211 Jones Road, Jeanerette was arrested on 8-23-2011 at 1:37 pm for Improper Display of a License Plate, Reckless Operation, Driving Under Suspension, Improper Equipment and a warrant for Failure to Appear for Revocation Hearing. Agent was patrolling the Four Corners area, when suspect vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on Cypremort Road and had his license plate improperly displayed on vehicle. Agent conducted traffic stop and conducted an investigation. During investigation it was also learned that suspect was driving under suspension and had a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $4250.00 bond and was later released.

James Percle 30 yoa of 4021 Francis St. Apt. # 4, Berwick was arrested on 8-23-2011 at 3:13 pm on a warrant for Simple Battery, Simple Criminal Damage to Property, Theft and a warrant for Parole Violation. Suspect was located at his residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Runaway Juvenile Alert - 8/24/11




The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for two Runaway Juveniles.





Abby Paige Voisin, white female, 15 years of age, approximately 5’7” tall, 130 lbs, blue eyes and blonde hair. Abby was last seen wearing blue jean shorts and either a school shirt or tank top. Abby no longer has braces.





Abby should be accompanied by Clint Guillory, white male, 15 years of age, approximately 5’6” tall, 125 lbs, hazel eyes. Clint has short blonde hair. The juveniles were reportedly seen in the Morgan City area today. If located, please contact the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985-384-1622.

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 72 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 109 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Bruce Fields 47 yoa of 5150 Hwy 12 Vidor, Texas was arrested on 8-19-2011 at 7:58 am for Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway of Commerce. Deputy was called to Universe St. in Bayou Vista in reference to an accident. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned that suspect had a cable stretched across the roadway and was attempted to connect his trailer to his truck, when other vehicle struck the wire. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $10,000.00 bond and was later released.

Michael MetreJean 24 yoa of 436 Field St., Bayou Vista was arrested on 8-19-2011 at 3:51 pm on three warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect turned himself into the Morgan City Sheriff’s Office after learning of warrants for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

On 8-19-2011 at 7:57 pm a Juvenile Male 15 yoa was arrested for Simple Battery and Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. Deputy was called to 120 Charlie Lane in Charenton in reference to a battery. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from victim and witness that he went to suspect’s residence to pick up his bike when suspect committed a battery upon him and began fighting. Deputy made contact with suspect juvenile at his residence and after investigation was placed under arrest, processed and released to guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Barbra Russell 38 yoa of 6616 Hwy 182, Franklin was arrested on 8-20-2011 at 1:10 pm for Theft by Shoplifting. Deputy was called to Wal-mart in Bayou Vista in reference to a shoplifter. Upon Deputy’s arrival store security advised he observed suspect walking through Wal-mart concealing several items valued at $133.51 in her purse. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

Chet Williams 44 yoa of 1212 Red Cypress Road, Patterson was arrested on 8-20-2011 at 5:46 pm for Failure to Signal Lane Change and Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Bayou Vista area, when he observed suspect vehicle fail to signal lane change and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was also learned that suspect was driving under suspension. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

On 8-20-2011 at 6:46 pm two Female Juvenile 15 and 16 yoa were arrested for Theft by Shoplifting. Deputy was called to Burke’s Outlet store in Bayou Vista in reference to shoplifters. Upon Deputy’s arrival store security advised that the two juveniles were observed taking merchandise valued at $58.95 and $33.96 from the shelves and concealing items in their purses. After investigation both Juveniles were placed under arrest, processed and released to guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Charles E. Duncan III 40 yoa of 10908 Hwy 182, Franklin was arrested on 8-21-2011 at 3:35 am for Open Alcoholic Container. Deputy was patrolling Irish Bend Road, when he observed a vehicle parked in a parking lot with vehicle running and conducted an investigative stop. Upon Deputy making contact with suspect an open alcoholic container was observed in the vehicle. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

Archie C. Tardy Jr. 26 yoa of 3642 Anthony Dr. Apartment 1 A, Mesquite, Texas was arrested on 8-12-2011 at 10:42 am for Speeding, Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Minor. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Berwick area, when he observed suspect vehicle speeding and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation Deputy received consent to search vehicle and located two bags of Marijuana and a hand rolled marijuana cigar. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Lucretia Sanders 27 yoa of 461 Verdun Lane, Franklin was arrested on 8-17-2011 at 8:34 am on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect turned herself into the Sheriff’s Office on warrant for her arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

Mandubourg 46 yoa of 422 Neptune St., Bayou Vista was arrested on 8-17-2011 at 7:30 pm for Driving Under Suspension, Child Restraints and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of Speeding and Child Restraints. Deputy was patrolling the Centerville area, when he observed a child standing in the front seat of vehicle with no child restraint and conducted a traffics stop. During investigation it was learned that suspect was driving under suspension and had a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Denny J. Aponte-Albino 29 yoa of 333 Egle St., Morgan City was arrested on 8-17-2011 at 9:24 pm for Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information, Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle and No Driver’s License. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when he came upon a vehicle parked on the side of Duhon Blvd. with suspect sitting in the vehicle. Deputy conducted an investigative stop suspect gave Deputy false names and identification. Deputy also observed open alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1500.00 bond and was later released.

Jennifer Elmore 29 yoa of 1025 ½ Cayce St., Franklin was arrested on 8-18-2011 at 1:08 am for Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Bayou Vista area, when he observed a vehicle parked on the side of roadway with suspect sitting in the vehicle. Deputy conducted an investigative stop and learned that suspect had car trouble, when asked for Driver’s License it was learned that suspect was driving under suspension. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

Daniel W. Caskey 27 yoa of 608 General Hodges St., Morgan City was arrested on 8-18-2011 at 2:02 am for Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 182 in the Bayou Vista area, when he observed suspect vehicle to have no License plate light and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was learned that suspect was driving under suspension. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

Victor K. Floyd 35 yoa of 116 Martin Lane, Amelia was arrested on 8-12-2011 at 9:31 am on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Possession of Marijuana. Suspect was located in the Amelia area, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $5000.00 bond and was later released.

Craig A. Cranford 28 yoa of 211 Southeast Blvd. Apt. # 2, Bayou Vista was arrested on 8-12-2011 at 10:59 am for Simple Burglary of a vehicle. Arrest stems from an investigation into a burglary of a vehicle where suspect took several items from the vehicle. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Kennedy Breaux 45 yoa of 1604 Hwy 182, Morgan City was arrested on 8-13-2011 at 2:45 am for DWI 2nd, Failure to Signal Turn and Open Alcoholic Container. Deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when he observed suspect vehicle fail to use signal. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and upon making contact with suspect observed an odor of alcoholic beverage upon his person. During investigation Deputy also located an open alcoholic container in the vehicle. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Berwick Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect refused to take test and was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Brian Smith 48 yoa of 1110 Plantation Dr., Franklin was arrested on 8-13-2011 at 10:34 am for Open Alcoholic Container. Deputy was patrolling Gum Point Lane when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. During investigation suspect a passenger in the vehicle was observed with an open alcoholic container. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

Damian Brown 28 yoa of 145 Mercury Road, Bayou Vista was arrested on 8-13-2011 at 7:07 pm for DWI, Failure to Signal Left Turn, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and No Insurance. Deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when suspect vehicle failed to signal turn. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and upon making contact with suspect observed an odor of alcoholic beverage upon his person. During investigation suspect also had no insurance on his vehicle. During an inventory of suspect vehicle drug paraphernalia was located. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Berwick Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect submitted to test with a ..000g%. Suspect refused to submit to urine and blood sample and was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail on above charges with no bond at this time.

Walter L. McMahon Jr. 32 yoa of 21464 Bonnie Dr., Denham Springs, La. was arrested on 8-14-2011 at 10:42 am on a warrant for Terrebonne Parish for Failure to Appear on the charges of No Driver’s License and Speeding. Suspect was located in the Baldwin area and after a warrants check was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $300.00 bond and was later released.

Trawn Martin 40 yoa of 504 Hwy 87, Lot # 1, Franklin was arrested on 8-14-2011 at 8:19 am for Stop Sign Violation, Driving Under Suspension, Child Restraints and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Simple Criminal Damage to Property. Deputy was patrolling the Franklin area, when he observed suspect vehicle fail to stop at the stop sign at Katy Bridge Road and Hwy 182. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and learned that suspect was driving under suspension and had a child in the vehicle not properly restrained. Suspect also had a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2500.00 bond at this time.

Matthew Adams 17 yoa of 2602 Lake Palourde Road Lot # 10, Amelia was arrested on 8-14-2011 at 8:39 pm for Disturbing the Peace and Criminal Trespass. Deputy was investigating a complaint at 820 Waterworks Dr. in Amelia in reference to a stolen bike. During investigation above suspect was located at the residence and complainant didn’t want suspect at her residence. Suspect was advised to leave, when he began causing a disturbance refusing. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond at this time.

Gabriel Keys 39 yoa of 20141 Hwy 182 W., Jeanerette was arrested on 8-15-2011 at 12:59 am for DWI, Reckless Operation and Aggravated Flight from an Officer. Deputy was patrolling the Hwy 182 at St. Peter St., when he observed suspect vehicle speeding, when Deputy attempted to stop suspect vehicle he refused to stop and began traveling at a high rate of speed driving reckless. Suspect vehicle came to a stop at a residence on Hwy 318 with suspect running into residence. Suspect was retrieved from residence and upon Deputy making contact with suspect observed an odor of alcoholic beverage on his person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Franklin Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect refused to take test and was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Allison Thompson 19 yoa of 532 Orange St., Morgan City was arrested on 8-11-2011 at 3:06 pm on a warrant for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond at this time.

Milton J. Barrilleaux Jr. 55 yoa of 222 Morris Road, Morgan City was arrested on 8-11-2011 at 3:27 pm on a warrant for sixteen counts of Aggravated Incest. Suspect was brought into the Morgan City Sheriff’s Office in reference to investigation. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Delmond Madise 23 yoa of 2008 Keith St. # 1, Morgan City was arrested on 8-11-2011 at 8:30 pm for Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was advised of vehicle being pulled that was driving reckless. Deputy located suspect vehicle on Hwy 182 in Morgan City and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was learned that above suspect was operating vehicle being towed with a suspended driver’s license. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

Jacob Bernard 26 yoa of 4942 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, Coby Broussard 24 yoa of 645 Moresi Road, Jeanerette and Derrick Saintes 20 yoa of 129 Cane Road, Franklin were arrested on 8-12-2011 at 2:50 am with Bernard being charged with DWI, Improper Lane Usage and Open Alcoholic Container. Broussard was arrested for Open Alcoholic Container and Saintes was arrested for Open Alcoholic Container under the Age of 21. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 87 in the Charenton area, when he observed suspect vehicle cross the center line and conducted a traffic stop. Upon making contact with Bernard an odor of alcoholic beverage was observed upon his person. During investigation several open alcoholic containers were located in the vehicle. After further investigation above suspects were placed under arrest with Broussard and Saintes being issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011. Bernard was placed under arrest and transported to Franklin Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect had a test result of .160g%. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Allison L. Stewart 18 yoa of 128 Bray Lane, Franklin was arrested on 8-10-2011 at 11:15 am on a warrant for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. Suspect was located in the Franklin area, placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond and was later released.

Randy G. Clark 24 yoa of 158 Friendship Alley, Amelia was arrested on 8-10-2011 at 1:02 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of License Plate Not Displayed and No Driver’s License on Person and was also arrested for Illegal Possession of Stolen Things. Suspect turned himself into the Morgan City Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Ricky Archangel 53 yoa of 402 Bollard St., Baldwin was arrested on 8-10-2011 at 5:23 pm on warrants for Failure to Register as a Convicted Sex Offender and Duty of Offender to Notify Law Enforcement of Change of Address. Suspect was located at above location, placed under arrest on warrants and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

James Lumpkins 41 yoa of 173 Mimosa Place, Lafayette, La. was arrested on 8-10-2011 at 7:26 pm on warrants for Failure to Appear for Revocation Hearing and warrants for Morgan City Police Department for Failure to Appear for Driving Under Suspension, Resisting an Officer and Improper Lighting. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Bayou Vista area, when he conducted a traffic stop for suspect vehicle traveling in the left lane of traffic. During investigation it was learned of warrants for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Anthony Gant 29 yoa of 1312 Second St., Patterson and Trevor Thomas 22 yoa of 510 Leo Dr., Patterson were arrested on 8-10-11:03 pm for Open Alcoholic Container. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 182 in the Amelia area, when he conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding. During investigation above suspects passengers in the vehicle were found to be in possession of open alcoholic beverages. After investigation both suspects were placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

James Furlette III 22 yoa of 4307 Cantrell Dr., Berwick was arrested on 8-11-2011 at 1:58 am for DWI and Improper Lane Usage. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 182 in the Amelia area, when he observed suspect vehicle cross the center line and conducted a traffic stop. Upon Deputy making contact with suspect an odor of alcoholic beverage was observed upon his person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Berwick Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect had a test result of .094g%. According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 43 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Blaine Boatman 25 yoa of 1511 Sterling Road, Franklin was arrested on 8-9-2011 at 8:18 am for Expired Inspection Sticker, Expired License Plate, Driving Under Suspension, No Insurance and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Speeding. Deputy was patrolling Sterling Road in Franklin when he observed suspect vehicle had an expired inspection sticker and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was learned suspect had no insurance, license plate was expired and he was driving under suspension. Suspect also had a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $3750.00 bond and was later released.

Tyrone Williams 66 yoa of 312 Verdun Lane, Franklin was arrested on 8-9-2011 at 10:18 am on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located at his residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-4-2011.

Kellie B. Pyle 28 yoa of 112 Shannon St., Patterson was arrested on 8-9-2011 at 2:28 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of No Child Restraint and Stop Sign Violation. City of Patterson, Officials Honored



The City of Patterson has been cited for an Honorable Mention in the 2010 Community Achievement Award's Competition sponsored by Louisiana Municipal Association, the Louisiana Department of Economic Development and Louisiana Industrial Development Executive Association for outstanding community improvement in economic development within population group 3,001 to 10,000.




Patterson was recognized before a crowd of 1,500 attendees at the 74th LMA Annual Convention held in Shreveport. The theme for the three-day convention was “Cities Mean Business." St. Mary Head Start Orientation 8/24

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Almetra J. Franklin, CEO for the St. Mary & Vermilion Parishes Head Start Programs would like to announce the first day of school for the 2011-2012 school session. Head Start Program children in St. Mary and Vermilion Parish will begin on Thursday, August 25, 2011. Parents are asked to bring their children in on the first day and buses will return the children home. Mrs. Franklin has asked that all children are asked to arrive at the center by 8:30 a.m. and not before 8:00 a.m. Buses will leave the centers at 2:15 p.m. Parents are asked to please be home to receive their child. Children are expected to be dressed in the proper uniform of navy blue and white.

St. Mary & Vermilion Head Start Program is known locally, statewide, and nationally for providing quality, comprehensive services to children ages three to five years. These services include developmental, appropriate, educational activities, health and mental health services, socialization and two hot, delicious meals and a snack for the children.

Suspect turned herself into the Morgan City Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for her arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $100,000.00 bond at this time.

Narendra Hingorani 66 yoa of 311 Old Spring Lane, Houston, Texas was arrested on 8-8-2011 at 11:49 pm for DWI and Careless Operation with an Accident. Deputy was called to Hwy 90 near the Garden City exit in reference to a single vehicle accident. Upon Deputy’s arrival he located suspect and conducted an investigation. Upon Speaking with suspect an odor of alcoholic beverage was observed upon his person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Franklin Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect had a test result of ..160g%. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Kerry Washington 49 yoa of 315 Grout St., Patterson was arrested on 8-9-2011 at 3:24 am on warrants for Failure to Appear for Criminal Neglect of Family and a warrant for Lafayette Parish for Failure to Appear. Suspect was located at his residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.


Sheriff Mark A. Hebert advised that on 8-8-2011 at 6:04 pm the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office was called to Bray Lane in Franklin in reference to subjects fighting and shots fired. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned that victim Keith Pierre 18 yoa of Franklin was shot in the arm. Victim was transported by Acadian Ambulance to Franklin Foundation Hospital for treatment of his injury. Sheriff Hebert advises that the incident is under investigation at this time. No further information available at this time.

Chad Bird, age 24 of 1915 River road, Berwick, La was arrested on 8-2-2011 at 119pm in Amelia on two warrants for failure to appear in Morgan City court on charges of Disturbing the peace. He was released to Morgan City PD.

Ebony Jordan, age 25 of 1351 Joseph Street, Morgan City, La was arrested on 8-2-11 at 319pm on Hwy 90 near Berwick on charges of Driving under suspension, expired license plate, no insurance and expired inspection sticker. She was released on summons to appear in court.

Reneta Taylor age 27 of 313 Ellis street Patterson, La. was arrested on 8-2-11 at 319pm on warrant for 2 counts Issuing Worthless checks. She was issued a summons to appear in court.

Lynn Foland, age 49 of 701 Onstead Morgan City, La was arrested on 8-3-11 at 1230am at Southeast Blvd in Bayou Vista on charges of No Drivers license on person, Failure to dim headlights and a warrant for Failure to appear in court for other traffic offenses. He was transported to the parish jail for processing and incarceration.

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept.., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept.. report the following arrests:

Brittany Bourque 18 yoa and Tiffany Randolph 22 yoa both of 818 Third St., Morgan City were arrested on 7-28-2011 at 3:47 pm for Possession of Marijuana with Randolph also having a warrant for Failure to Appear for Drug Court. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force received information of illegal narcotics activity at above location and conducted an investigation. Upon receiving consent to search Agents located several burnt marijuana cigarettes in the residence. After investigation suspects were placed under arrest with Bourque being released on a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011 and Randolph being booked into the parish jail with a $102,000.00 bond at this time.

Mary Co-Op. Suspect was developed and brought in for questioning. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Clifford Dauphine 21 yoa of 4006 Hwy 182, Patterson was arrested on 7-28-2011 at 12:10 pm for Loud Music Prohibited. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Patterson area, when suspect vehicle was observed traveling on Hwy 90 playing loud music. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and after investigation was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Jorge Cruz 22 yoa of 110 Village Lane, Amelia was arrested on 7-26-2011 at 7:15 am for No Driver’s License and No Insurance. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when he observed a minor accident occur at Frontage Road and Hwy 182. Deputy conducted an investigation and learned that above suspect had no driver’s license and no insurance. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

April Richard 37 yoa of 528 Louisa St., Morgan City was arrested on 7-26-2011 at 11:17 am for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Tara Fraijo 40 yoa of 1015 Railroad Ave., Morgan City was arrested on 7-26-2011 at 12:58 pm on warrants for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect turned herself into the Morgan City Sheriff’s Office after learning of warrants for her arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Chad Williams 22 yoa of 123 Burchfield Lane, Berwick was arrested on 7-26-2011 at 12:47 pm for Driving Under Suspension and No Child Restraint. Deputy was advised of a vehicle on Hwy 90 in the Baldwin area with a small child not in a child restraint. Deputy located suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was also learned that suspect was driving under suspension. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Nail 42 yoa of 2610 Sixth St., Morgan City were arrested on 7-26-2011 at 8:38 pm with Jeremy Voisin being charged with Improper Lane Use, No Driver’s License, No Child Restraints, Possession of Xanax and Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile, April Voisin being charged with Possession of Xanax and Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile and Nail being arrested on a warrant for City Court of Morgan City for Failure to Pay Fine. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when he observed suspect vehicle cross the fog line several times and cross into the oncoming lane of traffic. Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Degravelle Road. During investigation it was learned that suspect had no Driver’s License and that a child was in the vehicle with no restraints. Upon further investigation a bottle containing several Xanax pills were located in the vehicle. After investigation above suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time and Nail being released to Morgan City Police Department.

Keith Lewis 45 yoa of 921 Pellerin St., Jeanerette was arrested on 7-27-2011 at 3:15 am on a warrant for Jeanerette Police Department for Theft. Deputy was called to area of Hwy 90 in the Jeanerette area in reference to a subject throwing an item at a passing vehicle. Deputy located above suspect and conducted an investigation. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept.., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept.. report the following arrests:

Jason Olivier 29 yoa of 505 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista and Amanda Smith 6160 North Bayou Black Dr., Gibson, La. were arrested on 7-25-2011 at 1:09 pm with Oliver being arrested on a warrant for Terrebonne Parish for Aggravated Burglary and was also charged with Operation of a Clandestine Lab, Possession of Meth with Intent to Distribute, Manufacture of Meth, Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a warrant for Probation Violation and Smith being charged with Operation of a Clandestine Lab, Possession of Meth, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force along with Detectives learned that Jason Olivier was staying at a local Hotel in the Bayou Vista area and had a warrant for his arrest out of Terrebonne Parish. Agents located suspect along with Smith at the local Hotel, Olivier was placed under arrest on warrant. During investigation Agents located methamphetamine and several items of drug paraphernalia. Agents also located a methamphetamine lab along with several chemicals and other items for the manufacture of meth. After investigation both suspects were charged and booked into the parish jail with no bonds at this time.

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 36 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Tasha L. Lombas 35 yoa of 180 Cane Road, Franklin was arrested on 7-25-2011 at 8:20 am on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Keith Carter 39 yoa of 10621 Hwy 182, Franklin was arrested on 7-25-2011 at 11:11 am on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located at his residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-20-2011.

Sherre N. Sam 20 yoa of 1058 Eagle St., Franklin and Donsary L. Spain 20 yoa of 403 Robertson St., Franklin were arrested on 7-22-2011 at 5:00 pm for Theft by Shoplifting. Deputy was called to Wal-mart in Bayou Vista in reference to shoplifters. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from store security that above suspect was observed concealing items in their purses. Suspect’s had $80.76 and $107.47 worth of merchandise concealed in their purses. Both Suspects were placed under arrest and issued summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Franklin Pearce 26 yoa of 2143 River Road, Berwick was arrested on 7-22-2011 at 10:06 pm for Reckless Operation, Disturbing the Peace and Failure to Appear for District Attorney Interview. Deputy was called to 1214 Clements Lane in Bayou Vista in reference to a disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival at the residence an argument was occurring at the residence. During investigation it was learned that suspect had a warrant for his arrest and was placed under arrest. Upon speaking to witness it was learned upon his arrival at the residence, he observed suspect and complainant arguing when suspect backed out of driveway in a reckless manner. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Quinton Paul 47 yoa of 1114 Verdunville Road, Franklin was arrested on 7-23-2011 at 4:14 am for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated. Deputy was called to above location in reference a disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival above suspect was located in the yard intoxicated. Deputy spoke to complainant who advised suspect was banging on the door causing a disturbance. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond and was later released.

Jamie P. Adams 21 yoa of 104 Guzzetta St., Morgan City was arrested on 7-23-2011 at 7:11 pm on a warrant for City Court of Morgan City for Probation Violation. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 812 in the Shadyside area, when he stopped to assist suspect on the side of roadway. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Paul Annaloro 41 yoa and Ruth Edwards 47 yoa both of 306 Venus St., Bayou Vista were arrested on 7-24-2011 at 9:06 am for Domestic Abuse Battery. Deputy was called to above location in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned that above suspects were arguing when they began to fight. After investigation both suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Jared Johnson 21 yoa of 255 Aspen Road, Egan, La. was arrested on 7-24-2011 at 11:39 am for Criminal Damage to Property and Criminal Trespass. Deputy was called to Hwy 87 at the Katie Bridge Road in reference to a vehicle stuck in the cane field. Deputy located vehicle with no one in the vehicle. Deputy was later called back to the area in reference to suspect trying to retrieve his vehicle. Deputy made contact with suspect and conducted an investigation. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $3000.00 bond and was later released.

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept.., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept.. report the following arrests:

Kentrell Diggs 19 yoa of 428 Lagonda Road, Bayou Vista was arrested on 7-21-2011 at 8:10 pm for Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids and Abuse of Toxic Vapors. Agents were patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when they observed vehicle cross the fog line and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation suspect a passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of synthetic cannabinoids. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Randy Hatcher 32 yoa and Karen Hatcher 45 yoa both of 102 Carter Lane, Berwick were arrested on 7-21-2011 at 8:37 pm with Randy Hatcher being charged with Failure to use Signal and Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Karen Hatcher being charged with Possession of Marijuana. Agents were patrolling the Morgan City area, when they conducted a traffic stop. During investigation Agents located a bag of marijuana in the vehicle. After investigation both suspects were placed under arrest with Randy Hatcher being booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time and Karen Hatcher being issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 30 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Kendell R. Fletcher 31 yoa of 125 Madison St., Franklin was arrested on 7-21-2011 at 9:00 pm for Speeding, Loud Music from a Motor Vehicle and Open Alcoholic Container. Deputy was patrolling the East St. area of Franklin when he observed suspect vehicle speeding and vehicle emitting loud music, Deputy conducted a traffic stop. During investigation consent to search was obtained with an open bottle of alcoholic beverage being located in the vehicle. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Toreum Poole 27 yoa of 1045 Ramos St., Amelia was arrested on 7-21-2011 at 11:18 pm for Simple Assault. Deputy was called to above location in reference to a disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned that suspect and her mother were arguing when suspect picked up an iron and made a threat towards her mother. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond at this time.

Brandon Druillet 27 yoa of 142 Bodin Road, Baldwin was arrested on 7-22-2011 at 1:34 am for Stop Sign Violation and Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was patrolling the Baldwin area, when suspect was observed running the stop sign at Ralph Darden Parkway and Hwy 182. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and during investigation learned that suspect was driving under suspension. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

St Mary Multi Jurisdictional Task Force 7/21

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept.., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept.. report the following arrests:

Harold Randle 29 yoa of 142 Mary Garrett Lane, Charenton was arrested on 7-20-2011 at 3:26 pm for Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Violation of CDS Laws Drug Free Zone and warrants for Lafayette Parish for Failure to Appear on the charges of Expired Inspection Sticker and Driving Under Suspension. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at above location. During investigation Agents located crack cocaine with an approx. street value of $700.00 along with drug paraphernalia. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $5000.00 bond on St. Mary Parish charges and released. Suspect was then turned over to Lafayette Parish on their charges.

Jermaine Brown 25 yoa of 400 Nora St., Franklin and Ronnie Boatman 32 yoa of 1701 Pine St., Franklin were arrested on 7-20-2011 at 5:42 pm on the charges of Manufacturing of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Keeping a Disorderly Place, Violation of CDS Law, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of CDS, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, with Brown also being charged with twelve counts of Public Intimidation and Boatman also being charged with Obstruction of Justice and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 400 Nora St. in Franklin. Upon Agents entering the residence above suspects were located with Boatman attempting to flush cocaine in the bathroom. During a search of the residence Agents located crack cocaine, powdered cocaine, a firearm and several drug paraphernalia items. Residence was located within 2000 feet of a park. After investigation suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bonds at this time.

Crystal Pittman 28 yoa of 111 Calhoun St., Amelia was arrested on 7-20-2011 at 4:03 pm on warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Neon Lights Prohibited and Failure to Appear on the charge of Theft. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $3750.00 bond and was later released.

Edgar J. Mayon 19 yoa of 804 South Everett St., Morgan City was arrested on 7-20-2011 at 7:08 pm for Condition of Windshield, Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids and Abuse of Toxic Vapors. Deputy was patrolling the Siracusa area, when Deputy observed suspect vehicle with a large crack across the window obscuring driver’s view. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and during investigation received consent to search vehicle. Deputy located several packs of synthetic cannabinoids. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Dewan Edmond 34 yoa of 184 Dinkins Road, Charenton was arrested on 7-20-2011 at 11:26 pm for Domestic Abuse Battery. Deputy was called to above location in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from complainant that she and her husband were arguing when he became irate and grabbed her around her neck the pushed her. Deputy located suspect outside the residence and after conducting investigation he was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Roderick Dominick 36 yoa of 140 Edmond Lane, Charenton was arrested on 7-20-2011 at 11:26 pm on warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Domestic Abuse Battery, Failure to Appear on the charges of Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a Failure to Appear on the charge of Issuing Worthless Checks. Deputy was handling a complaint at 184 Dinkins Road in Charenton, when it was learned of warrants for above subject. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $15,300.00 bond at this time.

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 31 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Wanda D. Carson 41 yoa of 219 Caffery St., Franklin was arrested on 7-19-2011 at 10:34 am on warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Issuing Worthless Checks and Failure to Appear on the charges of Driving Under Suspension, Failure to Signal, Expired License Plate, Expired Inspection Sticker and No Insurance. Suspect turned herself into the Sheriff’s Office on warrants and was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $5000.00 bond and was later released.

Nicole M Sanders 25 yoa of 160 Lenny’s Lane, Amelia was arrested on 7-19-2011 at 7:16 pm on warrants for Issuing Worthless Checks and two Failures to Appear warrants for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2000.00 bond and was later released.

The St. Mary Parish Chapter of the NAACP will have its meeting Tuesday July 26th 2011 at the St. Joseph Baptist Church 878 Irish Bend Rd Franklin, LA @ 6:00 PM. The President asked the members to please be present.

St. Mary Sheriff's Office 7/18

According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 72 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 111 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Jeremiah Aucoin 29 yoa of 706 Marshall St., Morgan City was arrested on 7-15-2011 at 6:32 pm on warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Simple Criminal Damage to Property and Failure to Appear on the charge of No Seat Belt. Suspect turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office on warrants for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $5100.00 bond at this time.

Chris A. Loupe 35 yoa of 520 Aucoin St. Morgan City was arrested on 7-16-2011 at 11:53 am for Driving Under Suspension, Improper Lane Usage and No Insurance. Deputy was patrolling the Patterson area of Hwy 90, when he observed suspect vehicle turn onto Hwy 90 from Hwy 182 turning into the furthest lane running off the roadway to shoulder of roadway. Deputy conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was learned that suspect was driving under suspension and had no insurance. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Chase A. Landry 22 yoa of 115 Kelly Dr., Charenton was arrested on 7-16-2011 at 2:26 pm for Condition of Windshield, Possession of a Legend Drug (Cephalexin) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Calumet area, when he observed suspect vehicle with a cracked windshield obscuring the driver’s view and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation consent to search vehicle was obtained with Deputy located a pill bottle with several Cephalexin pills and drug paraphernalia. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $3250.00 bond and was later released.

James Gabriel Sr. 45 yoa of 134 Gabriel St., Jeanerette was arrested on 7-16-2011 at 6:08 pm for Criminal Neglect of Family. Deputy was called to 134 Gabriel St. in reference to a disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned through investigation that suspect had left his juvenile son 16 yoa at the residence for two week without electricity or adequate food and juvenile was knocking on doors asking for food. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Cruz Angelle 20 yoa of 831 E. Bayou Parkway, Lafayette, La and Brandon McLain 19 yoa of 100 Bayside # 8, Lafayette, La. were arrested on 7-17-2011 at 3:42 am with Angelle being charged with Possession of Marijuana and Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage by Underage Person and McLain being charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage by Underage Person. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 319 and Hwy 83, when he observed suspect vehicle cross the center line and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was learned that the two suspects had consumed alcoholic beverages. Deputy learned through investigation that Angelle had a bag of marijuana in a bag in the vehicle. Deputy retrieved the bag of marijuana. Deputy received consent to search vehicle from owner of vehicle and located drug paraphernalia. After investigation both suspects were placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Ryan Hall 22 yoa of 112 Martin Lane, Amelia was arrested on 7-17-2011 at 7:25 pm on a warrant for Theft. Deputy was called to 116 Martin Lane in reference to a disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned of a warrant for above suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Lajohnna Guy 27 yoa of 515 St. Peter St., Jeanerette was arrested on 7-17-2011 at 10:16 pm on a warrant for Simple Battery and Disturbing the Peace by Fighting. Deputy was called to above location in reference to criminal damage to property complaint. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond and was later released.

Dean V. Sanders 47 yoa of 125 Diane Lane, Lot # 45, Patterson was arrested on 7-17-2011 at 10:23 pm for Failure to Signal, Driving Under Suspension, Possession of Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoids and Abuse of Toxic Vapors. Deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when he observed suspect vehicle fail to signal turn and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation suspect gave consent to search and Deputy located synthetic cannabinoid and open alcoholic containers. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.

Linda Lange 47 yoa of 2112 Hebert St., Franklin was arrested on 7-17-2011 at 11:24 pm for DWI, Careless Operation and Possession of a Legend Drug. Deputy was called to the Charenton Levee in reference to a single vehicle accident. Upon Deputy’s arrival vehicle was located and upon Deputy making contact with driver an odor of alcoholic beverage was observed upon her person. During investigation consent to search was obtained with Deputy located two pills in suspect’s purse. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Franklin Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect refused to submit to test and was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
