According to Sheriff Mark A. Hebert during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Reginald J. Archangel Jr. 17 yoa of 431 ½ Nicholas St. Lot # 5, Jeanerette was arrested on 7-13-2011 at 12:44 pm for Illegal Carrying of a Firearm and Possession of a Stolen Firearm. Agents were patrolling the St. Peter St. area, when they conducted an investigative stop on above suspect. During investigation a pat down of suspect was conducted with Agents retrieving a small caliber hand gun. During investigation it was learned that gun was reported stolen in a burglary in Jeanerette. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $6500.00 bond and was later released.
Terry M. Moore 34 yoa of 322 Fontelieu Dr., New Iberia, La. was arrested on 7-13-2011 at 7-13-2011 at 1:43 pm for Speeding, Driving Under Suspension and No Insurance. Deputy was patrolling the Charenton area, when he conducted a traffic stop on Martin Luther King Blvd. in Charenton on suspect vehicle speeding. During investigation it was learned that suspect was driving under suspension and had no proof of insurance. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 10-11-2011.
Charles P. Randolph Jr. 42 yoa of 205 Neptune St., Bayou Vista was arrested on 7-13-2011 at 6:58 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear for Drug Court Status Conference. Suspect was located on Willard St. in Morgan City, placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with a $100,000.00 bond at this time.
Jason Mathews 29 yoa of 178 Friendship Lane, Amelia was arrested on 7-13-2011 at 10:00 pm for Stop Sign Violation and Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area, when he observed suspect vehicle fail to stop at stop sign on Frontage Road and Hwy 182. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and during investigation learned that suspect was driving under suspension.
Stanford Bolden 55 yoa of 5550 N. Bayou Black Dr., Gibson, La. was arrested on 7-13-2011 at 10:25 pm for DWI, Improper Lane Usage and Possession of Perkicet. Deputy was patrolling the Amelia area when he observed suspect vehicle make a turn from Frontage Road onto Hwy 182 traveling into the oncoming lane of traffic, then observed suspect vehicle cross the center and fog lines on several occasions. Deputy conducted a traffic stop during investigation Deputy observed an odor of alcoholic beverage upon suspect’s person, it was also learned that suspect had taken medication. During investigation suspect provided Deputy with prescription bottles of medication. During investigation a perkicet pill was located in pill bottle that suspect didn’t have a prescription for. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Berwick Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect refused to take test and refused to submit to blood or urine test. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept.., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept.. report the following arrests:
Mario Williams 31 yoa of 622 Eighth St., Franklin was arrested on 7-13-2011 at 4:57 pm for Failure to Signal and Possession of Legend Drug Flexeril. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the St. Joseph area when they observed suspect vehicle fail to signal turn and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation Agents received consent to search and located a pill bottle containing Flexeril pills. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2750.00 bond and was later released.
