HOUMA POLICE REPORT 6/8

INCIDENT-AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

On June 7, 2009 at approximately 4:51pm Houma Police responded to a disturbance at a residence on the 1100 block of Academy Street in West Houma.

Upon arrival officers learned that Michael Amacker, 12/03/63, of 243 Magnolia Street tried to stab a 10 year-old male juvenile in the back with a screwdriver. He was also swinging the screwdriver around at other people near the residence in an aggressive manner.

Officers located Mr. Amacker on the 800 block of Lafayette Street and recovered the screwdriver from his pants pocket, which was seized as evidence.

The 10 year-old juvenile informed officers the incident began over Mr. Amacker refusing to move out of his way so he could throw water out of his cup.

Mr. Amacker was arrested for aggravated assault and was transported to the Terrebonne Parish Jail where he was incarcerated awaiting trial or bond.
