ST MARY SHERIFF 6/16

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Craig C. Watts 46 yoa of 168 Friendship Alley, Amelia was arrested on 6-15-2009 at 10:19 am on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of Simple Escape, Resisting an Officer and Threatening a Public Official and was also charged with two counts of Criminal Mischief. Deputy was investigating an incident where copper wire was burning behind the above location. During investigation contact was made with above suspect and learned of a warrant for his arrest. While conducting investigation suspect had entered his residence and had made calls to 911 giving false complaints in an attempt to have Deputy leave the residence. After investigation above suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Robin L. Sumrall 46 yoa of 2556 Bayou Blue Houma, La. was arrested on 6-15-2009 at 9:03 pm for Open Alcoholic Container. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Berwick area, when he conducted a traffic stop. During investigation an open alcoholic container was located in the vehicle. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 9-9-2009.

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Patterson Police Department Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept., report the following arrests:

Mindy Parria 20 yoa of 2060 River Road, Berwick was arrested on 6-15-2009 at 10:45 pm for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Agents of the Narcotics Task force were patrolling the Berwick area, when they conducted a traffic stop on Knight St. and Fourth St… During investigation a search of suspect vehicle was conducted with drug paraphernalia being located in the ashtray. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 9-9-2009.
