Thibodaux, LA – The Superintendent of the Lafourche Parish School System releases the following announcement.
Superintendent Jo Ann Matthews, said, “Due to a letter received from #1 Fund Raising of Baton Rouge announcing a voluntary recall from Blue Ribbon Products, Inc. of their 3 lb. Peanut Butter cookie dough the Lafourche Parish School Board wishes to inform anyone that may have participated in the fund raiser of this recall. #1 Fund Raising has decided to voluntarily recall all Peanut Butter cookie dough sold during the fall fund raising season.”
Matthews added, “We have eight schools, Bayou Boeuf Elementary, Galliano Elementary, Golden Meadow Upper Elementary, Larose Upper Elementary, Lockport Upper Elementary, Raceland Upper Elementary, St. Charles Elementary School, and Thibodaux Elementary that participated in the Blue Ribbon Products, Inc. fund raiser through #1 Fund Raising. When the letter was received, the school system did the following:
(1) Contacted the remaining schools to ensure they did not participate in similar fund raisers; and
(2) Secured information from #1 Fund Raising if other schools in our district had placed orders with them; and
(3) Notified parents of students of all schools via a letter from the principal.
According to its letter, #1 Fund Raising will reimburse or replace any person who bought Peanut Butter cookie dough during the sale.
