The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Patterson Police Department Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept., report the following arrests:

Louis Williams Jr. 36 yoa of Lloyd Lane, Morgan City was arrested on 2-10-2009 at 8:21 pm for Possession of Loritab, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of CDS and Possession of a Legend Drug without a Prescription. Agents were patrolling Hwy 182 in the Amelia area, when they conducted a traffic stop. During investigation a search of suspect and his vehicle was conducted with Agents locating several Loritabs and Somas in a pill bottle on suspect’s person. Agents also located a weapon under the driver’s seat of the vehicle. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Lance Talbot 45 yoa of 102 Reynolds St., New Iberia was arrested on 2-10-2009 at 9:43 pm Failure to Use Turn Signal and Possession of Cocaine. Agents were patrolling the Siracusaville area, when they conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Joseph and Grace St. During investigation a search of suspect vehicle was conducted with a small amount of cocaine being located on the driver’s floor board. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.


According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Richard Delvokio 29 yoa of 614 W. Jackson St., Ville Platte, La. was arrested on 2-10-2009 at 1:46 pm on a warrant for Evangeline Parish for Probation Violation. Deputy received information that above suspect was at Francis Drilling Fluids in Berwick. Suspect was located, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Tanner Beglau 21 yoa of 2000 Maple St., Morgan City was arrested on 2-10-2009 at 11:52 pm for Remaining Where Forbidden. Deputy was called to the Amelia Belle Casino in reference to removing a subject. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from security that above suspect had been banned from the casino for a previous disturbance. Suspect was located and after investigation was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 4-27-2009.
