Prostate Cancer is the second leading killer in the African American Male community, next to heart disease.
"Black males are dying due to not getting tested for this silent killer," said Clarence Robinson Jr., president of the 100 Black Men of St. Mary.
"The 100 Black Men want to bring awareness to this disease during the month of September," which Robinson said, has been designated as “Prostate Awareness Month”.
"The 100 Black Men of St. Mary Parish along with Teche Action Clinic will be offering FREE Prostate Screenings for Men ages 40 and over. Are you man enough to get tested?"
The test will be offered Saturday, September 24, from 10am to 2pm, at Skinner's Barber Shop, 1001 Railroad Ave in Morgan City.
