The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, repors the following arrest:

Torie J. Marks, 19, of 338 Sorrell Railroad Row in Jeanerette was arrested yesterday afternoon
at 2:27 pm, on warrants for the Jeanerette Police Department, for:
Possession of Marijuana, No Seat Belt, Resisting an Officer, no driver's license, resisting an Officer by Flight, Aggravated Battery, Assault by Drive by Shooting, Illegal Use of a Weapon, and Criminal Damage to Property.
He was also arrested on a warrant for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's office, for Possession of Cocaine. He was additionally charged with Resisting an Officer by Flight and Possession of Marijuana.
Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the Sorrell area, attempting to located subjects on active warrants, when they located Marks and attempted to speak with him. However, he fled on foot with Agents giving chase and later apprehending him.
Marks was placed under arrest and during a search of his person , a small amount of marijuana was located. He was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
