St. Mary Sheriff's Office - 4/8/10

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Jonathan A. Mayea 25 yoa of 175 Mercury St., Bayou Vista was arrested on 4-7-2010 at 9:09 am for Deputy was called to 175 Mercury Road in reference to a 911 call with a subject having a broken collar bone and phone was disconnected. Upon Deputy’s arrival no one was at the residence. Deputy made contact with a neighbor advising subjects had just left prior to Deputy’s arrival. Deputy proceeded to Teche Regional Hospital and located subjects. During investigation it was learned that victim and her boyfriend had an altercation with suspect throwing her to the ground breaking her collar bone. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Nicole Sanders 24 yoa of 212 Southeast Blvd., Bayou Vista was arrested on 4-7-2010 at 11:20 am on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect turned herself into the Sheriff’s office after learning of a warrant for her arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 7-29-2010.

Eleandos Davis 33 yoa of 1403 Martin Luther King, Charenton was arrested on 4-7-2010 at 11:58 am on a w arrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of No Drivers License and Failure to Maintain Control. Suspect turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $300.00 bond and was later released.

Connie H. Zirlott 41 yoa of 19520 Hwy 182, Jeanerette was arrested on 4-7-2010 at 1:24 pm on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 7-29-2010.

Sherkera Sylvester 30 yoa of 1225 Railroad Ave., Morgan City was arrested on 4-7-2010 at 4:13 pm for Disturbing the Peace, two counts resisting an Officer, Battery on a Police Officer, Simple Assault and Theft over $300.00. Deputy was called to Radio Shack Store in Bayou Vista in reference to a theft. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from Manager that her employee’s cell phone was taken from the store and that they reviewed the video footage from the store and above suspect had taken it. Manager advised that she locked the doors to the store and detained suspect till Sheriff’s Office arrived. While Deputy was conducting investigation suspect was yelling and cursing causing a disturbance in the store and was placed under arrest at which time she began resisting and committed a battery upon Deputy. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with a $1500.00 bond and was later released.

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept.., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept.. report the following arrests:

Brandon Jones 25 yoa of 4105 Francis St. Apt. A1, Berwick was arrested on 4-7-2010 at 12:09 pm for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Codine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of CDS and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at above location. During investigation Agents located several bags of marijuana, cocaine, codine, paraphernalia and a handgun in the residence. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Harold Charles 37 yoa of 300 Chennault St., Morgan City was arrested on 4-7-2010 at 7:29 pm for Possession of Marijuana 3rd, Possession of Cocaine over 28 grams, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of CDS, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Resisting an Officer and warrants for, four Failure to Appear for Criminal Neglect of Family, two Failure to Appear for Revocation Hearing and a warrant for Terrebonne Parish for Failure to Appear on the charges of Speeding and Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at above location. Upon Agents entering the residence suspect attempted to flee and had to be physically subdued. Upon Agents search the residence a large amount of cocaine, a bag of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a handgun were recovered. The street value of the cocaine located was approx. $6500.00 dollars. Suspect also had several warrants for his arrest. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
