St Mary Parish Sheriff's Report - 4/26

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 72 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 124 complaints. Here are some of the arrests from those complaints:

Larry Delahoussaye 48, of 713 Taurinac St., New Iberia was arrested on Friday for Theft by Shoplifting, at Wal-mart in Bayou Vista . He was noticed taking items from the shelf and wearing them over clothes he was wearing. After investigation Delahoussaye was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on July 29th.

Nicole Swackhammer 24, of 212 Railroad Ave., Patterson was arrested on Friday on a warrant for Simple Battery. She turned herself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of a warrant for her arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1500.00 bond and was later released.

Jason A. King 25, of 107 Paul Lane, Franklin was arrested on Friday for Simple Burglary, Forgery and Unauthorized use of an Access Card. His Arrest stems from the investigation of a vehicle burglary were a wallet was taken from a vehicle. He was also observed using the credit card on video at certain stores in the area. King remains in jail under a $10,000.00 bond at this time.

Troy Colar 46, of 1301 Hwy 83, Baldwin was arrested Friday afteroon on charges of forgery, theft over $500.00 and on a warrant for Probation Violation. His arrest stems from an investigation where he took two checks and wrote them to payable to himself and cashed them. He remains in jail this morning, under no bond.

Eric M. Frentz 28 years old, of 208 Willow Bend Lane in Patterson was arrested Friday night for DWI and Speeding. Deputies caught Frentz in the act on US Hwy 90 in Berwick. After an investigation, Frentz was placed under arrest and blew a test result of .148g percent on the Intoxilyzer. He was booked into the parish jail with a $2750.00 bond and was later released.

Chase M. Simoneaux, 23 years old, of 1507 Hwy 182 in Bayou Vista was arrested early Saturday morning, on a warrant for Simple Battery and Criminal Damage to Property. he was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1,500.00 bond and was later released.

Jennifer R. Young, 33 years old, of 221 Fourth St. in Morgan City, was arrested Saturday around noon, for Theft by Shoplifting at Wal-mart in Bayou Vista. She was observed on camera, taking food items and concealing them in her purse. After an investigation, Young was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on July 29th.

Patricia Green 44 years old, of 206 Halsey St in Morgan City was arrested on Saturday afternoon, for theft by Shoplifting at Wal-mart in Bayou Vista. She was noticed takign several packs of meat and concealing them in a bag. She was placed under arrest and issued a sumons to appear in court on July 29th.

Paris Swan, 20 years old, of 606 Feret St. in Morgan City, and David Tate Jr. 20 years old, of 140 Mill Road # 24 in Patterson, were arrested on Saturday night at 10:21 pm, with Swan being charged with Possession of Marijuana 1st and Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile and Tate being charged with Possession of Marijuana 2nd and Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Juvenile.

A deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Bayou Vista area, when he conducted a traffic stop on Swan, for failing to signal a lane change. Upon the Deputy asking swan for her drivers license, a small bag of marijuana fell from her wallet. While conducting investigation with Tate, a passenger in the vehicle, a bag of marijuana was located in the passenger side door. A

Both Swan and Tate were placed under arres,t with Swan being issued a summons to appear in court on July 29th, and Tate being booked into the parish jail with a $5000.00 bond. He was later released.

Jeremy Lee Butler 24 years old, of 4076 Chitimacha Trail in Charenton was arrested early yesterday morning, for Resisting an Officer.

A Deputy was patrolling Hwy 182 near the intersection of Ralph Darden Memorial Parkway in the Baldwin area, when he observed Butler's vehicle fail to stop for stop sign.

The Deputy attempted to stop Butler, but he refused, leading the Deputy on a chase.

Butler's vehicle finally came to a stop at 4076 Chitimacha Trail, with four suspects exiting vehicle and fleeing on foot. The Deputy chaseed Butler and another passenger in the vehicle, with other suspects fleeing into the woods. After an investigation, Butler was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1000.00 bond. He was later released.

Alton J. Hue Jr. 31 years old, of 719 Bush St. in Morgan City was arrested early this morning, for DWI and Speeding. A Deputy was patrolling Brashear Ave. when he observed Hue's vehicle speeding. After investigation, Hue was taken to the Berwick Police Department where he blew 0.88g percent on the Intoxilyzer 5000. He was booked into the parish jail, with no bond being set at this time.
