St. Mary Parish Police Report

Date: August 15, 2008

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Patterson Police Department Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept., report the following arrests:

Justin W. Webb 206 Jeff Davis Road, Fair Hop, Alabama was arrested on 8-14-2008 at 5:04 pm for Possession of Loritab, Open Alcoholic Container and a warrant for Jeanerette for OWI. Agents were patrolling Chitimacha Trail in the Charenton area, when they conducted a traffic stop. During investigation suspect a passenger in the vehicle was observed to have an open alcoholic container. Suspect was removed from vehicle and a search of his person was conducted with two pills being located in his pocket. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Braylan Hamilton 24 yoa of 524 Augustine Maze St., Franklin was arrested on 8-14-2008 at 7:16 pm for Possession of Marijuana and Obstruction of Justice. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force received information of illegal narcotics being sold on Augustine Maze St. in Franklin. Agents responded to the area and conducted an investigation. During investigation several subjects a marijuana cigar was located on the ground next to several subjects sitting. Agents recovered the marijuana and after investigation above suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1500.00 bond and was later released.

D’Juanille Diggs 22 yoa of 103 Issac St., Franklin was arrested on 8-14-2008 at 8:45 pm for Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute and Obstruction of Justice. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the St. Joseph area, when they conducted an investigative stop on several subject standing on the corner of Gumpoint Lane and Thomas St. Upon Agents exiting vehicle above suspect was observed reaching in his pocket and throwing an item to the ground. Agents retrieved plastic bag containing nine rocks of crack cocaine. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Travis W. Darby 40 yoa of 7104 Park Road, Morgan City was arrested on 8-14-2008 at 7:09 am on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Bowman St. in Berwick. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 11-13-2008.

Brian G. McDonald 48 yoa of 379 T Joe Road, Sunset, La. was arrested on 8-14-2008 at 12:30 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of DWI, Driving on Shoulder, and Speeding. Suspect turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $10,000.00 bond and was later released.

Courtney D. Dupas 25 yoa of 801 Iberia St., Franklin was arrested on 8-14-2008 at 7:01 pm for Disturbing the Peace and Resisting an Officer by Refusing to give Booking Information. Agents received information of Illegal Narcotics being sold from a yard on Augustine Maze St. in Franklin. Agents went to location and conducted an investigation. Upon approaching Agent approaching suspects, the above suspect began cursing and causing a disturbance. Suspect was placed under arrest, during investigation suspect refused to give any of his personal information for his booking. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond and was later released.

Bobby Jackson 20 yoa of 110 Alexander Lane, Franklin was arrested on 8-14-2008 at 8:47 pm for Disturbing the Peace. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were conducting an investigation on Gumpoint Lane in Franklin when a vehicle passed with above suspect sitting on the window of the vehicle cursing and causing a disturbance. Vehicle was stopped with suspect being placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $250.00 bond and was later released.

Chadwick M. Landry 35 yoa of 221 Aristile Road, Morgan City was arrested on 8-14-2008 at 10:40 pm on two warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Speeding. Agents were patrolling the Siracusa area, when they conducted a traffic stop on Ciro St. During investigation it was learned of warrants for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond and was later released.
