St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Press Release

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

John A. Clark Jr. 42 yoa of 138 Westside Trailer Park, Amelia was arrested on 10-22-2008 at 11:13 am on a warrant for Failure to Appear for Criminal Neglect of Family. Deputy was called to above location in reference to Child Enforcement Agents having above suspect in custody. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $3646.81 bond and was later released.

Ciara Williams 20 yoa of 110 Third St., Morgan City and Paris Bias 17 yoa of 505 Arkansas St., Morgan City were arrested on 10-22-2008 at 2:31 pm for Theft by Shoplifting with Williams also being arrested on two warrants for Failure to Appear on the charge of Theft. Deputy was called to Wal-mart in Bayou Vista in reference to shoplifters. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from store manager that the suspects were observed shoplifting items valued at $214.36 and when suspects seen manager they took off running discarding items in the store. During Investigation it was also learned of warrants for Williams’s arrest. Both suspects were placed under arrest with Williams being booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time and Bias being issued a summons to appear in court on 1-12-2009.

Raylon J. Walker 22 yoa of 778 Parish Road 131, Franklin was arrested on 10-22-2008 at 2:38 pm on warrants for Failure to Appear on the Charge of Unauthorized Use of a Movable and Failure to Appear on the charges of Flight From an Officer, Reckless Operation, Driving Under Suspension, Improper Lane Usage and Speeding. Deputy was patrolling the Verdunville Boat landing when he conducted an investigative stop on suspect sitting in a vehicle at the boat landing. During investigation it was learned of warrants for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Wayne C. Demarco Jr. 20 yoa of 118 Sydney Joe Lane, Berwick was arrested on 10-22-2008 at 5:32 pm on warrants for Failure to Comply with Terms and Conditions of Drug Court, Resisting an Officer by Flight and was additionally charged with Resisting an Officer by Flight. Deputy received information that above suspect was at Apt. # 103 on Fortin Road, Berwick. Deputy went to location to conduct an investigation, during investigation suspect was located in the residence and fled from Deputy’s on foot. After a short foot pursuit suspect was apprehended, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Brandon C. Sadler 20 yoa of 4231 Cooley Road, Craceville, Florida was arrested on 10-22-2008 at 8:15 pm for Peddling without a License. Deputy was called to Yokley Road in Franklin in reference to a subject selling magazines door to door. Deputy went to location and located suspect. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Anthony P. Ruffin 29 yoa of 384 Prairie Road, Franklin and Gabrieo Boulanger 19 yoa of 101 Southwest Blvd., Bayou Vista were arrested on 10-23-2008 at 12:03 am on warrants for Morgan City Police Department with Ruffin being charged with Driving Under Suspension and Loud Music and Boulanger being charged with Loud Music. Deputy was called to Club Expressions in Amelia in reference to suspicious persons. Upon Deputy’s arrival suspects were located in the parking lot. During investigation it was learned of warrants for suspect’s arrest. Suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bonds at this time.
