The Louisiana State Police is investigating an
officer involved shooting that occured in the
city limits of Morgan City on November 10 at about
8:34pm involving two MCPD officers. The officers,
whose names are being withheld at this time, have
been placed on administrative leave with pay per
departmental policy, pending the outcome of the
investigation. All information inquiries should be
made to Louisiana State Police.
However, KBZE/KFRA news has learned the
shooting involved the vehicular chase of a white
male from Bayou Vista. The chase entered
Lakeside subdivision in Morgan City, late Monday,
and then continued to Seventh Street in Morgan City,
where the subject was shot.
KBZE/KFRA news has also learned three
policemen were injured in the incident.
No further information was available as of
1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov 11.
