The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of the St. Mary Sheriff Dept., the Morgan City Police Dept., the Franklin Police Dept., the Baldwin Police Dept.., the Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept.. report the following arrests:
Ervin Butler 46 years old, of 1802 N St., Patterson was arrested on Friday afternoon for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Cocaine.
Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling Lake Palourde Road in Amelia,
when Butler's vehicle was observed to cross the center line. Thats when deputies stopped Butler.
Later, upon questioning and searching Butler's vehicle, they found crack cocaine under the driver’s door of vehicle. Butler remains in jail with no bond being set at this time.
