St Mary Sheriff 4/21

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 50 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Rodney Bellard 28 yoa of 2618 Hwy 182, Bayou Vista was arrested on 4-21-2010 at 6:26 am on a warrant for Domestic Abuse Battery and Second Degree Battery. Suspect turned himself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $25,000.00 bond and was later released.

Kerdern J. Martin 23 yoa of 149 Pickett Lane, Charenton was arrested on 4-21-2010 at 9:30 am on a warrant for Failure to Comply with Drug Court. Suspect was located at his residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $100,000.00 bond at this time.

On 4-21-2010 at 12:00 pm a Juvenile Male of Jeanerette was arrested for Simple Battery. Deputy working at B.E. Boudreaux Middle School in Baldwin was advised by school official that above juvenile committed a battery upon another student. Juvenile was placed under arrest, processed and released to guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Chester Sons III 49 yoa of 502 Neptune St., Bayou Vista was arrested on 4-21-2010 at 12:28 pm on warrants for Simple Battery and Simple Battery of the Infirm. Suspect was located in the Morgan City area, placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with a $3000.00 bond and was later released.

Lindsey Bray 24 yoa of 305 Railroad Ave., Baldwin was arrested on 4-21-2010 at 3:12 pm on warrants for Failure to Appear on the charges of Disturbing the Peace and Threatening a Public Official, Failure to Appear on the charges of Driving Under Suspension and Speeding, Franklin City Court warrant for Simple Battery Domestic and Franklin City Court warrant on the charges of Driving Under Suspension, Wrong Way Down a One Way Road and Possession of Marijuana. Suspect was located at above address, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Quinton N. Paul 46 yoa of 116 Pa Buckle Lane, Verdunville was arrested on 4-21-2010 at 5:40 pm for Simple Battery of the Infirm and Simple Assault. Deputy was called to 1114 Verdunville Road in reference to a battery. Upon Deputy’s arrival above suspect was detained leaving the residence while investigation was conducted. During investigation it was learned from victim (83 yoa) that suspect had grabbed her cane and began threatening to hurt her. Suspect then grabbed her by the arm twisting it. After investigation above suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Ty Quang Thai 40 yoa of 263 Cypress Court Gray, La. was arrested on 4-22-2010 at 12:02 am on warrants for Reckless Operation, Resisting an Officer and Driving Under Suspension and four Warrants for Failure to Comply with Drug Court. Suspect was also charged with Reckless Operation and Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was advised on a reckless Driver on Hwy 90 in the Bayou Vista area. Deputy located suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was learned of warrants for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest on above charges and booked into the parish jail with a $305,000.00 bond at this time.

Robert L. Taylor 39 yoa of 175 Roy’s Lane, Verdunville was arrested on 12:27 am on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Criminal Neglect of Family. Deputy was called to above location in reference to removing a subject. Upon Deputy’s arrival suspect was located sleeping in a vehicle in the driveway. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $17,417.01 bond at this time.
