St Mary Sheriff 4/23

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Francisco J. Garces Jr. 21 yoa of 135 Marcel Dr., Morgan City was arrested on 4-22-2010 at 10:55 am for Driving Under Suspension, Failure to Use Signal and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of Disturbing the Peace and Driver Must be Licensed. Deputy was working Hwy 90 in the Berwick area, when he observed suspect vehicle failure to signal lane change and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation it was learned that suspect was driving under suspension and had a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2000.00 bond at this time.

Jessie Lee Webb 37 yoa of 3828 Pharr St., Berwick was arrested on 4-22-2010 at 2:50 pm on warrants for two counts of Resisting an Officer, Probation Violation and was additionally charged with Possession of Xanax and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Detective along with Agents went to above suspect’s residence to execute a warrant for his arrest. Detective and Agents were given consent to search for suspect and located him hiding in the attic of the residence. Suspect was placed under arrest and upon searching his person a tin with several xanax pills were located. Agents also located drug paraphernalia in suspect’s room. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Jason P. Hebert 30 yoa of 237 Jena St., Charenton was arrested on 4-22-2010 at 5:57 pm for Reckless Operation, Failure to Report an Accident, Open Alcoholic Container and Possession of Loritab. Deputy was called to a single vehicle accident and Baldwin Police Department has suspect detained. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from witness that suspect was driving at a high rate of speed when he lost control and flipped vehicle. Upon Off Duty Officer approaching accident suspect fled on foot carrying a plastic bag in his hand this throwing it to the ground. Suspect was later apprehended by Baldwin Police Department and detained. Deputy recovered plastic bag which contained several Loritabs. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Ronald A. Blanco Jr. 37 yoa of 1404 Canal St. Apt. # 12, Bayou Vista was arrested on 4-22-2010 at 6:40 pm for Driving Under Suspension and Criminal Trespassing. Deputy was patrolling the Bayou vista area, when he observed suspect vehicle turn into a driveway on Delmar St, and suspect got out and began walking to the roadway. Deputy conducted an investigative stop and began speaking with suspect when it was learned that he was driving under suspension. It was also learned through investigation that suspect pulled into the driveway after seeing the Deputy knowing that his license was suspended. Suspect advised he didn’t know who lived at the residence. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 7-29-2010.

Ryan Brown 29 yoa of 312 MLK Road, Charenton was arrested on 4-22-2010 at 10:03 pm for Disturbing the Peace and Resisting an Officer. Deputy was called to above location in reference a disturbance. Upon Deputy’s arrival three subjects were in the yard arguing. Deputy made contact with subjects and conducted an investigation. During investigation above suspect would not calm down and continued causing a disturbance. Suspect was placed under arrest at which time he began to resist Deputy and had to be subdued. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with a $1250.00 bond at this time.
