According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Virginia A. Yancy 41 yoa of 246 A.B. Martin Road, Jeanerette was arrested on 6-21-2010 at 11:14 am on a warrant for Theft by Fraud. Suspect turned herself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of a warrant for her arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail and later released on her own recognizance.
Cherie L. Tapia 32 yoa of 212 Lagonda St., Bayou Vista was arrested on 6-21-2010 at 11:40 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Possession of Marijuana. Suspect was located in the Bayou Vista area, placed under arrest on warrant and booked into the parish jail with a $1500.00 bond at this time.
