Mayor Charles Caillouet announces updates on road overlays of numerous Thibodaux streets and the Tiger Drive Extension.
The following Thibodaux streets are receiving improvements: Tiger Drive (LA Hwy 1 to Parish Road), the Tiger Drive Extension (Talbot Avenue to LA Hwy 3185), Ridgefield Road to Menard Street, (Goode Street to Audubon Avenue), and (Acadia Road to LA Hwy 648).
The total cost of construction for this project is $1.3 million. The project is being funded, in part, with federal stimulus funds.
The balance of the project is being funded with local street improvement funds.
Flagmen are present to direct traffic, but motorist can expect delays. Commuters are strongly advised to use alternate routes during construction periods.
Mayor Charles Caillouet said, “I thank commuters, in advance, for their patience during construction.” Department of Transportation and Development is managing the project.
