Almetra J. Franklin, St. Mary Community Action Agency Chief Executive Officer announced today that the agency is venturing into assisting with capacity building efforts of nonprofits, both secular and faith based, within the St. Mary Parish area. A representative and board president of each organization are asked to attend an interest meeting on Thursday, June 11, 2009 beginning at 10:00 am. The meeting will be held at the agency’s Central Office on 1407 Barrow Street.
Each organization is asked to submit a packet containing the following information:
§ Articles of Incorporation
§ Proof of nonprofit designation
§ Mission Statement and Vision
§ Purpose of Organization and area served
§ Most recent satisfactory financial statement
§ List of Board of Directors
§ Any media releases supporting efforts
We request that these packets be submitted by Tuesday, June 9, 2009 to St. Mary CAA Central Office. This is only an interest meeting that will supply St. Mary CAA with sustainable partners in these capacity building efforts.
