St. Mary Sheriff's Office 6/24

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Patterson Police Department Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept., report the following arrests:

Tyron Gaudeau 28 yoa , Dianna Gaudeau 49 yoa , Donavin Mingo 33 yoa and Lawrence Blackburn 31 yoa all of 125 Eleventh St., Morgan City were arrested on 6-23-2009 at 5:30 pm for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Tyron Gaudeau was also charged with a warrant for Parole Violation and Dianna Gaudeau was also charged with warrants for five counts of Issuing Worthless Checks. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 125 Eleventh St. Upon Agents arrival at the residence above suspects were located sitting outside the doorway of the residence and were detained for investigation. Agents conducted a search of the residence and located several drug paraphernalia items, a bag of marijuana and several small plastic bags with cocaine residue. After investigation above suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bonds at this time.


According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 31 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Thelma B. Craig 31 yoa of Plantation Inn room # 122, Patterson was arrested on 6-23-2009 at 1:58 pm on warts for two counts of Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect turned herself into the Morgan City Sheriff’s Office after learning of warrants for her arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 9-9-2009.

David W. Hawkins 50 yoa of 1305 James St., Morgan City was arrested on 6-23-2009 at 7:52 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Littering and was also charged with Simple Burglary. Deputy was called to 1403 James St. in reference to a burglary. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from complainants that they had inherited their parent’s residence and that it had been burglarized. During investigation it was learned that above suspect had admitted to complainants that he had broken into the residence and sold items he had taken. Deputy located suspect at his residence and conducted an investigation. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
