St. Mary Sheriff's Office - 6/15/09

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 72 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 124 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Christina Everitt 29 yoa of 539 Clark Road, Bayou Vista was arrested on 6-12-2009 at 10:30 am on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 9-9-2009.

Billie M. Gros 39 yoa of 533 Teche Road, Bayou Vista was arrested on 6-12-2009 at 1:27 pm on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 9-9-2009.

Jordan B. Fontenot 24 yoa of 1400 McDermott Dr., Morgan City was arrested on 6-12-2009 at 3:05 pm on a warrant for Domestic Abuse Battery. Suspect turned himself into the Morgan City Sheriff’s Office after learning of a warrant for his arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $7500.00 bond at this time.

On 6-12-2009 at 7:15 pm two Male Juveniles 15 and 16 yoa of Bayou Vista and Thibodeaux were arrested for Criminal Trespassing with 15 year old also being charged with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute and 16 year old also being charged with Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Juvenile. Deputy was called to Teche Road in Bayou Vista in reference to a gun being fired. Upon Deputy’s arrival to the area, two juvenile males were located walking on the headland behind Teche Road. Deputy conducted an investigative stop and located 16 yoa juvenile to have a handgun in his possession. Upon further investigation 15 yoa juvenile was searched and found to have several small bags of marijuana on his person. After investigation juveniles were placed under arrest, processed and released to guardians pending juvenile court proceedings.

Bret A. Sparks 20 yoa of 122 Riverbend Dr., Patterson was arrested on 6-13-2009 at 12:22 am for DWI and Speeding. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Berwick area, when he conducted a traffic stop on above suspect vehicle for speeding. Upon Deputy making contact with suspect an odor of alcoholic beverage was observed upon his person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect refused to take test and was booked into the parish jail on above charges with a $7500.00 bond and was later released.

Kevin M. Verret 29 yoa of 721 Arlington St., Bayou Vista was arrested on 6-13-2009 at 5:59 pm for Loud Music Prohibited and No Drivers License. Deputy was in the McDonalds parking lot when he observed suspect vehicle pull into the parking lot playing loud music. Deputy advised suspect to turn down the music but he refused. Suspect was placed under arrest and during investigation learned that he also had no driver’s license. Suspect was issued a summons to appear in court on 9-9-2009.

Michael T. Jones Jr. 30 yoa of 140 Mill Road Lot # 18, Patterson was arrested for DWI and Failure to Dim Headlights. Deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when he observed suspect vehicle traveling on Hwy 182 with his bright lights on and failed to dim them when he passed. Deputy conducted a traffic stop and upon making contact with suspect an odor of alcoholic beverage was observed upon his person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Berwick Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect had a test result of .207g%. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with a $2500.00 bond and was later released.

Robert A. Galloway 29 yoa of 73601 Chapman Dr. Apt. D 2, Abita Springs, La. was arrested on 6-14-2009 at 4:46 am for Speeding and Driving Under Suspension. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Berwick area, when he observed suspect vehicle speeding and conducted a traffic stop. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest on above charges and issued a summons to appear in court on 9-9-2009.

Denise P. McMichael 35 yoa of 1321 Arbor Circle, Bayou Vista was arrested on 6-14-2009 at 6:50 pm for Leash Law. Deputy was called to the area of the Bayou Vista Recreation Center in reference to a dog running loose chasing the children. Owner of the dog was located, placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 9-9-2009.

Cotina Rink 33 yoa of 1815 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista was arrested on 6-14-2009 at 1:35 pm on warrants for Accessory After the Fact to Simple Burglary and Illegal Possession of Stolen Things. Suspect was located at her residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
