ST MARY SHERIFF'S OFFICE - 6/10

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 24 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 39 complaints and reports the following arrests:

On 6-9-2009 at 3:00 pm a Juvenile Male 16 yoa of Patterson was arrested on warrants for two counts of Simple Assault, two counts of Simple Battery and Obscenity. Arrest stems from May 7th and 8th incidents that occurred at Patterson High School where suspect made threats to other students. Juvenile was placed under arrest, processed and released to guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

On 6-9-2009 at 5:14 pm a Juvenile Male 15 yoa of Franklin was arrested for Domestic Abuse Battery. Deputy was called to 854 Parish Road 131 in reference to a disturbance. Upon
Deputy’s arrival it was learned from witness that juvenile and his mother were arguing and juvenile committed a battery upon his mother. Juvenile was placed under arrest and booked into the St. Martin Juvenile Detention Center awaiting juvenile court proceedings.

Christine S. Crane 38 yoa of 866 Parish Road 131, Franklin was arrested on 6-9-2009 at 5:45 pm for Battery on a Police Officer. Deputy was conducting an investigation into a disturbance at 854 Parish Road 131, when suspect became very upset was making threats to harm herself. Deputy attempted to calm suspect down, when she committed a battery upon Deputy. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1000.00 bond at this time.

Larry J. Armelin 49 yoa of 135 Georgetown Road, Glencoe was arrested on 6-10-2009 at 2:04 am for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting and Simple Battery. Deputy was called to above location in reference to a fight. Upon Deputy’s arrival it was learned from complainant and suspect that they were arguing and they began fighting. Complainant was transported to Franklin Foundation for a minor injury for treatment with charges pending. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond at this time.

Don M. Fryou 21 yoa of 222 Vandale Dr. Lot D, Gibson, La. was arrested on 6-10-2009 at 2:47 am on a warrant for Domestic Abuse Battery. Deputy was called to Wal-mart in Bayou vista in reference to a complaint. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for suspect’s arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with No Bond at this time.

The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, consisting of St. Mary Sheriff Dept., Morgan City Police Dept., Patterson Police Department Franklin Police Dept., Baldwin Police Dept., Berwick Police Dept., and Chitimacha Police Dept., report the following arrests:

Randolph Colar 52 yoa of 157 Jones Road # 2, Four Corners was arrested on 6-9-2009 at 5:00 pm for Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and warrants for Simple Battery and four counts of Issuing Worthless Checks. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling Locket Road # 1 in Four Corners when they conducted an investigative stop on two subjects on the roadway. Upon Agents making contact above suspect attempted to run from Agents and was detained. During investigation Agents located drug paraphernalia along with cocaine on above suspect’s person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Lori Thompson 47 yoa of 341 Ratcliff Lane, Franklin was arrested on 6-9-2009 at 9:49 pm for Possession of Marijuana. Agents of the Narcotics Task Force were patrolling the Morgan City area, when they conducted a traffic stop on Egle St. During investigation consent to search vehicle was obtained from driver and passenger above suspect was removed from vehicle. During a search of vehicle a small amount of marijuana was located on that passenger floorboard and recovered. After investigation above suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 9-9-2009.
