ARMED ROBBERY IN HOUMA

Houma Police Officers are still investigating an armd robbery incident from Thursday.

The call originally started at the intersection of Grinage and Honduras Street in reference to an armed robbery with a knife. Upon arrival officers discovered that a 50 year-old male victim was at a gas station on the 900 block of Barataria Avenue purchasing alcohol when a female suspect approached him asking for money in exchange for sexual favors. The victim agreed to pay for the services and followed the female to a residence on Naquin Street.

The victim and the female suspect were sitting on the back porch when an unknown male suspect wearing a black hat, white shirt, and black shorts interrupted them. The suspect pulled out a pocket knife and took an undetermined amount of money out of the victim’s pants. The victim then fled the area on foot and called police.

Officers patrolled the area and were unable to locate the suspects. Therefore, anyone with information is asked to call Houma Police at 873-6371.
