The St. Mary Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force reports the following arrests:
Courtney L. Richardson 23, of 602 MLK St., Franklin was arrested yesterday evening for Possession of Marijuana and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Seat Belt Violation.
Agents were patrolling Hwy 90 in the Jeanerette area, when a traffic stop was conducted for Richadson vehicle traveling in the left had lane. Upon Deputy making contact with Richardson, an odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle.
Agents received consent to search and located a small bag of marijuana. During investigation it was also learned of a warrant for Richardson's arrest. She was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2100.00 bond and was later released.
