ST. MARY PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE 6/7

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 72 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 120 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Brent J. Bridges 25, of 132 Vaughn Lane, Franklin, Matthew A. Naquin, 19 of 840 Verdunville Road, Franklin and Rachel N. Sauce 23 , of 483 Hunting Road, Franklin were arrested Friday for Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling.

Deputies was called to 4558 Hwy 182 in Patterson in reference to a vehicle being stuck. Upon their arrival, they found the suspect’s vehicle stuck in the mud with several items in the vehicle.

A Deputy observed that the rear door of residence was ajar. Suspects were detained while investigation was conducted. Owner of property arrived and advised suspects didn’t have permission to be on property. After further investigation it was learned that items in the vehicle had been taken from the residence. After investigation suspects were placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with Bridges and Naquin having no bond at this time and Sauce being released on a $5000.00 bond.

In another news, Julia Bailey 48, of 825 Two Brothers St. in Amelia, was arrested Friday on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Issuing Worthless Checks. Bailey was located at her residence, placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1000.00 bond. She was later released.

Kierra L. Johnson 22, of 1506 ½ Ellzey St in Morgan City was arrested Friday on warrants for Unauthorized Use of Access Card, Forgery and a Failure to Appear on the charge of Accessory After the Fact to Assault by Drive by Shooting. Johnson came into the Morgan City Sheriff’s Office in reference an investigation. She was advised of warrants for her arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Branshekia S. Harris 22, of 200 Halsey St., Apt. # 4 in Morgan City was arrested Friday on a warrant for Unauthorized use of an Access Card and Issuing Worthless Checks. Harris came into the Morgan City Sheriff’s Office in reference to an investigation and was placed under arrest on warrants and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Benjamin Diaz 30, of 111 Chirpy’s Lane in Amelia was arrested Saturday for Careless Operation of a Vehicle and Operating a Vehicle without Lawful Presence in the United States. A Deputy was called to 208 Lake Palourde Road in reference to a vehicle almost hitting complainant. Deputy searched the area and located suspect and vehicle and conducted an investigation. During investigation it was learned that suspect had no driver’s license. After investigation Diaz was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Tiffany Billiot 26, of 101 Teche Road, Bayou Vista was arrested Saturday night, on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Issuing Worthless Checks. Deputy was patrolling the Bayou Vista area, when a traffic stop was conducted on Middle and Field St… During investigation it was learned of a warrant for Billiot's arrest. Billiot was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $1500.00 bond and was later released.

Toris R. Harris 25, of 1404 Canal Road # 13, Bayou Vista was arrested last night on warrants for Resisting an Officer by Flight, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Harris himself into the Sheriff’s Office after learning of warrants for his arrest. Harris was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
