St Mary Sheriff's Office 6/1/2010

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 96 hours the Sheriff’s Office responded to 149 complaints and reports the following arrests:

James Pike 43, of 809 Hickory St., Morgan City was arrested last friday, on warrants for three counts of Forgery and Theft, Issuing Worthless Checks and a Probation Violation warrant. Pike turned himself into the Morgan City Sheriff’s Office after learning of warrants for his arrest. Pike was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2000.00 bond. He was

Naomi C. Davis 32, of 410 Bush St., Morgan City was arrested last Friday, on a warrant for Issuing Worthless Checks. Davis was located at his residence, placed under arrest on warrant and issued a summons to appear in court on Sept 8th.

Timothy Parker Jr. 36, of 116 Marlin Dr., Apt. # 4, Lafayette, was arrested last Friday on a warrant for Failure to Appear for Criminal Neglect of Family. Deputy was assisting Franklin Police Department with a traffic stop on Sterling Road, when it was learned of a warrant for Parker's arrest. Parker was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Robbie Giroir 40, of 118 Giroir Court in Morgan City, Kashif Wallace 22, of 143 Village Lane, Amelia, Mark Broussard Jr. 20, of 272 Vivian St., Morgan City, David P. Cavalier Jr. 26, of 108 Sophie St., Labadieville, La. and Priscilla R. Delafuente 26. of 217 Rayne Court # 42, Morgan City were arrested on early last Saturday morning, all at a fight at Sandy's Bar in Amelia.

Giroir was arrested for Simple Battery and Disturbing the Peace by Fighting, Wallace and Broussard, arrested for Disturbing the Peace by Fighting, Cavalier arrested for Simple Battery and Delafuente arrested for Remaining Where Forbidden and Resisting an Officer.

Deputies were called to Sandy’s Bar in Amelia in reference to a fight. Upon their arrival several subjects were involved in a fight. After investigating, the above subjects were booked as follows: Giroir having a $750.00 bond and was later released, Wallace and Broussard having a $250.00 bond and were later released, Cavalier having a $500.00 bond at this time and Delafuente having a $1500.00 bond and was later released.

Tomas Van Nguyen 29 , of 5311 Grand Caillou Road, Houma, La. was last Saturday night, for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated and Remaining Where Forbidden.

A Deputy was called to the Amelia Belle in reference to suspect causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. Upon his arrival security advised that suspect had fell asleep at a table and was intoxicated and when awaken he became irate causing a disturbance refusing to leave. After investigating, Nguyen was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond. He was later released.

Joey Viltz 45, of 2461 Hwy 318 in Jeanerette was arrested early Sunday morning for Resisting an Officer by Giving False Information and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Misuse of 911.

A Deputy was patrolling the Four Corners area, when dispatch advised that Viltz was calling and harassing dispatch. Deputy proceeded to the suspect address, when he observed suspect walking on the railroad with a cell phone and made contact. When suspect was asked his name he gave Deputy a false name. During investigation it was also learned of a warrant for suspect’s arrest. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2000.00 bond at this time.

Mannie Colar 54 , of 618 Bollard St. in Baldwin was arrested last night for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting an Officer by Force. Deputy was patrolling the Baldwin area, when he conducted a traffic stop. During investigation suspect a passenger in the rear of the vehicle was observed attempting to remove item from his pocket and conceal it under the head rest. Deputy removed suspect and conducted an investigation at which time drug paraphernalia was located on his person. Suspect was placed under arrest at which time he began to resist and had to be physically subdued. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with on above charges with no bond at this time.
